Do any of you good people listen to Christian music? I listen to K Love and am very up built by the music. One of my favorite songs is" Lead Me" by Sanctus Real. It is a very up building song. What are some of your favorites?

Attended a funeral this morning
by man in black ina lady i work with recently lost her husband to brain cancer, she is a very nice person so i made it a point to attend his memorial.
mass at the local evangelical church.. as the service went on, the pastor had asked the man's son, brother, and two sisters to give a little speech about their father, and brother.. it was one of the most emotional things i ever witnessed at a funeral.. .
remember, most of these people are from a different religion, or don't have any belief at all.. the brother gave a very nice talk about growing up together, one sister just stuck to her written script, it was very hard for her to speak in public.. the other sister read a letter that she started when her brother discovered that he had cancer, so her letter covered events for two years.. she started crying several times when something she was reading struck her, yet she was able to laugh, and get the entire church to laugh along with one of her personal observations regarding her brother as he grew up.. the most emotional part was when his 23 year old son got up and read a tribute that he wrote to his dad,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.

Absolutely, I was just talking to my daughter this morning while listening to Christian music while we worked how upbuilding the music was and how it touched my heart in a way that K Melodies never could. But while a Witness I would have never even thought of listening to the other. How foolish! It's the same with funerals. The ones I've attended for non Witness people were much more comforting to me than Witness funerals ever were.

Which do you prefer?

it's the hottest week of the summer here.
i have to confess, i handle the cold much better than the heat.

I love spring and fall. Hate weather that is to cold and really hate the 100's. It was 107 here today, in fact it has been triple digit heat for 2 weeks and I feel zapped of energy. So bring on the cooler weather for goodness sake.

FREE TO GOOD HOME
by Out at Last! infree to good home, or not so good: my wifes cat named charlie aka: chuckles, sir charles, chuck, kitty-kitty meow-meow.
he is a 10 -12 year old cat that requires prescription food; hills science diet (from vet, very expensive) and 2 insulin shots a day @ total of 6 units a day ( from vet, very very expensive.).
he enjoys 1) pissing on the carpet 2) scratching the hell out of the carpet, dressers, and furniture, and 3) particularly enjoys kicking all of the litter on the floor so i can walk in it 4) sleeping on my pillow ( i am allergic to animal hair).

Today is Our Special Day

Where I am now.
by IronClaw ini know its been awhile since i've been around, so i just wanted to drop in and let you know whats been going on with me.
it's been a long hard road since leaving the wts back in 06. some amazing things have happened in such a short period of time.
for much of the time i was full of anger at the wts.

They have a table at the local Walmart now
by life is to short inomg i just heard this morning that they have a table set up at the local walmart, so i had to drive by.
it is huge with two huge signs one spanish and one english of blown up pictures of some of the book covers like you can live forever and young people ask, etc with a card table in the middle and two very boarded looking people just sitting there.
this morning was the spanish congo's turn but the walmart is in my halls territory so the english speaking ones from my hall will man it on the english speaking times i guess.
