Yes of course, being raised a Witness was unhealthy. Being fed a steady diet that almost everything you do in life is offensive to Jehovah god, like that is not distructive to ones mental health, hello hellohello anyone home. Witness's teach that most e verything in life that is fun has some negative connotation to it, I wish I would not have been raised like that, but most of all I wish I would not have raised my own kids like that. Those GB SOB’s, and my dad god rest his soul had his head in the sand.

What is the mission of those on this board?
by The Berean inventing, closure, confession, social networking, advocating a new direction, building a case to leave the borg, kicking a dead horse, assisting the abused, warning the public, cursing god and religion, justifying actions, filling time, belonging to something, education, identifying mental disorders, condemning hypocracy, highlighting errors of the past, making fun of other people, self pity, hope for recovery???.
as a newby, i can't tell ....

Something Big Is Happening To the WT Mag.
by metatron ini looked over the aug. 1 public watchtower and noticed the same changes i observed previously.. plainly put, it appears that they have simply run out of things to say and so are just filling up printing space!.
they devote 4 full pages to a bible reading schedule that could have been easily condensed into a couple sentences.
they have the same large graphics and typeset that eats up printing area.

The WBTS magazines are very cheeply made, take a look at the Herald magazine put out by the Bible Students, much nicer, and they don't have to own their own printing press's, besides they don't find the need to control ever facet of your life, to me that is the mark or true religion or at the very lest one that I like.

JW Defenders- Is WTS Right to Insist You Stay Away From these Websites?
by OnTheWayOut ini read these threads and there are a few that bend over backwards to say why wts is correct on this issue or that issue.. they act like typical jw's that refuse to acknowledge points that may show that wts is not following the scriptures or that wts goes beyond the scriptures in a way that is not supported by others.. the point could be the blood issue or shunning or whether 1799 or 1914 was the start (or finish?
) of the last days or whether there is a faithful and discreet slave class or not.
i don't want to harp on each point.

What! No religion has any rights to any part of a persons life, and any religioin that says it does, is badly mistaken. What a bunch of Bloody Wankers and demigods the GB are to even for one moment assume, that we will not read what we want! Yet all along they want people to drop what they have been taught all their lives in favor of the JW's. Give me a break.

I fell from the rafters of my house in Northern Utah in 1994 and landed on my head on the cement, it pushed my skull into my brain, the doctors installed 14 reconstruction plates and twenty eight scrues in order to replace my skull fragments. After all that my brain died in the right frontal lobe and temprol area, now I am quite FUBAR. I now have seizures because of it, and my thinking is slowed a lot and my emotions are messed up, I lost two litters of blood and survived before I made it to ER. Shane

Confusion on what to believe, also guilt.
by izzysma ini was raised a witness up until i was 16, never was baptized, and now that i have my own child now i am having a really hard time with wanting her to know what religion is.
as i have gotten older, wiser i am doubting the truth even more...actually i never doubted it until just a few years ago.
being a witness is the only religion i know so i still have that sense of loyalty to it even though it's not what i choose to be.

I switched to doing study wiht the Assosiated Bible Students on line, we discuse anything and use all bible translations and do compareing, and pose questions for the group. A real pluss is they don't disfellowship, and I can have birthdays of my kids.
