I looked over the Aug. 1 Public Watchtower and noticed the same changes I observed previously.
Plainly put, it appears that they have simply run out of things to say and so are just filling up printing space!
They devote 4 full pages to a Bible reading schedule that could have been easily condensed into a couple sentences. They have the same large graphics and typeset that eats up printing area. The back cover lists a few review questions ( for the public??? Really?) that simply rehash the magazine! - and even then, are set on a blank background to absorb space.
The magazine also offers "Our Readers Ask - How Much Should I Donate?" Really? Haven't they beaten this subject to death? Does anyone really believe that Watchtower readers are clamoring to know how much money to send in?
Even the cover title is odd: "How Can You Choose a Good Religion? Huh? "Good Religion"??? Just Good? or OK?
Something is changing here. If you doubt me, pick up a copy and compare it with past issues. I think they are running out of things to say and are so brain-drained and painted into a corner , with doctrine, they can't talk about much of anything.
At some point, this "Public" Watchtower is going to be seen for the dud it is. With 'begging' articles aplenty, perhaps it's headed for cancelation, instead of the downsized Awake...........
