  What are you Paying?

  while out yesterday - gas 3.89...diesel 4.34......food rioting got 5 people killed in haiti and at least 150 arrested in egypt...sammieswife.

  Central Texas- $3.29 for regular, but I saw it for $3.25 elsewhere. I think the diesel was like $3.80. Nelly are you saying diesel is $10 a gallon in the UK?!!! Yikes! I remember when diesel was cheaper than regular gas. What happened? I always thought it needed less processing or something...-Potential

  Having a Baby......?

  so i'll be turning 32 soon.

  my life has been mostly pleasant.

  i don't have any 5 year plan or anything like that, but i do want to be a mom no later than 34. i am single, no great love of my life, not even someone to like out there at the moment.

  Lou- you do still have plenty of time for the biological child, but there are many children who are waiting for a parent to love them NOW. If you can adopt, I say go for it! I don't know what the laws are like for adoption in your country, but it may be easier for singles there. If you have a supportive extended family you probably have some good male role models there. You may find that once you have a child another could be soon behind...surprise! It happens all the time. Hope you have a wonderful family, and don't give up on finding a life partner and true father for your kids. -Potential

  so what is the association, exactly, Badboy? There are many "things" with pagan ties...interesting that the organization rails against some, and completely looks the other way on a few (white wedding gowns, wedding rings, etc). -Potential

  The wildflowers in South Texas right now are gorgeous! Oceans of pink and white buttercups, the bluebonnets are just coming in, purple verbena, yellow and red Indian blankets, yellow and white daisies, even the stinging (or bull as it's called) nettle flowers are pretty!- you name it, it's blooming. Every morning on the way to work I marvel at the beauty of God's creation. -Potential

  praying before a meal

  i have stopped.

  it brings up too many memorys of having some elder pray for the cong before we partook of any food.

  it just seemd like a big production, all would gather around and bow heads in silence while some senior male gave thanks- no more- no thanks

  Wow. It kind of blows my mind that some folks are so quick to condemn others for praying. If I'm in public I say a quick silent prayer. At home Hubby and I take turns saying grace before meals. We haven't always, so it's kind of nice. I am truly thankful for every morsel on my plate, and I know that I couldn't put it there without Him. -Potential

  my story is not uncommon, just the usual "skinned and thrown about like sheep without a shepherd".
