I dunno. Found it online titled 'brainguy'. Liked it. Used it.
I wonder if people like it?
My former avatars were screencaptures from the computer game Starcaft.

ps. Marilyn fits you well Tink!
Yes, it has been one of my points as well: we eat numerous unbled things: shrimps, fish, escargots etc etc. Oysters we even eat alive... so we really do not abstain from blood anyway...

in recent years, the watchtower society has given conflicting signals about its policy.
regarding compelling witnesses not to take blood transfusions.
inconsistencies in their understanding and enforcement of this ban on blood, this doesn't.
Cheaper, yes. They will be protected from legal issues by claiming it to be purely religious.
Two notes however:
1) Cheap in monetary terms yes, it will however cost them potential converts, even more with media exposure.
2) There is a growing tendency to cull religious authority. This is fueled by religious leaders encouraging terrorism and bigotry. We're not there yet however. Religions shouldn't be exempt from the law like they are now...

is it just me, or does the "questions from readers" segment in the watchtower these days sound phoney?
i know years ago they had the initials of the questioner along with their country of residence underneath their questions which seemed more, oh i don't know, realistic.
(the things people used to ask about!
I have been saying this for a long time!
Study for instance the evolution of the blood doctrine and you will find that most new light is squized in through the QFR section. Reading the questions asked in the 1950 and 60's will reveal interesting and sometimes controversial questions. For example there was one question by a reader that asked why the WT would bash the Catholic Church so often. The answer the gave in reply is still used against them by us apostates...
If I have time I will look up the reference...or maybe somebody here knows what I am talking about...

i just thought i would share this little gem that showed up in my e mail box.
it seems to be making the rounds of dubdom at the moment.. rats and rap music.
it took them 10 minutes to go through the maze, just as .
Good digging abaddon!
So most likely the experiment was never done anyway or fabricated. LOL.
But as I showed even if it were true, the drawn conclusions are unwarrented. It is really a riot to see all those funny-mentalists jump on such a thing and make a big ass of themselves! :oD

A better newsreport then usual, when they just lap up the info the 'slave' gives them to publish.
This however in not correct:
Russell proclaimed that Jesus Christ would return in 1874. When nothing much happened, he revised his prophecy to say that Jesus' presence had descended but that his physical return would occur in 1914
Russell didn't learn about the doctrine of the invisible presence (parousia) of Jesus in 1874 until two years later in 1876 from Nelson H. Barbour. So Russell did not predict anything regarding 1874. He did however teach this doctrine until his death in 1916, and Rutherford continued this doctrine up until 1930.
