Also, studies revealed that the more educated you get, the later you reproduce. Higher educated people also tend to produce less offspring. So evolutionary speaking the less educated are more successful.

omg, remember i went to the hall for the magazines.
lmao.
I see no reason to assume dishonesty. Why do they say that? They made the arrangement that if you were interested in the mags you had to get them in the hall. So...? You are interested in the mags. So you go to the hall to pick them up, even listening to the lecture and then being called dishonest! Way to go Elder. Now she will really consider coming back, such a warm welcome! LOL

in a few days we are celebratig one of the largest "children" feasts of the netherlands.
i paste the link from what i typed hereunder: .
http://www.thehollandring.com/sinterklaas.htm .
Funny thing is that we Dutch celebrate the same feast twice! Once as the original Sinterklaas and once as the derived Santa Claus (De kerstman in Dutch). We brought it to America and took the derived feast back again...weird how some things go....

e-watchman has decided to embrace the unholy watchtower whore and uphold her disgusting burdens on blood transfusions.
for the record, i now have e-watchman's email address and will be sending him copies of my commentary shortly after they are posted.
i have edited the content where necessary for sheer space (his verbiage is excessive and tiresome).
Another good point to use against this sillty doctrine is that even if the bible would forbid the use of blood, the jw's still don't follow the bible as they do allow blood fractions! Who are they to decide in what part of blood 'life' really resides?
To use an illustration: Adam and Eve were told not to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge. Simple eh? Now would it then be allowed to peel the fruit instead and eat the peel? Or maybe boil the fruit and extract the sugar from it and then use this sugar to spice up other food? The answer is 'No' ofcourse.
Another illustration: the Israelites just conquered a city and God forbids taking loot. Would it then be allowed to just take a few camels as this is just a minor part of the loot (compared to gold and silver)? No. Loot is loot even when you split it into fractions and find elements that also can be found in non-loot connection.
The bible also says: abstain from porneia. Could we then likewise split porneia into several elements or fractions and allow some of them? And who decides this?
Then, when one believes the bible to forbid any use of blood, like the WT claims, cannot then turn around and allow fractions to be used. It's all or nothing. You can't be in limbo about such things: either it applies or it doesn't.

Interesting point Watson. Indeed we stunted the evolution of our body as soon as we started to use tools and fire. Also the formation of culture changed a lot. We rely now on technology and culture for survival now and those are rapidly evolving. This could lead to more feeble humans: strength etc becomes irrelevant when we have machines to do it for us. We have taken a brand new road in the history of life... Greven

Tubular Bells is indeed by mike oldfield and used as theme music in the exorcist. A funny note for us dutch folk: this music was also used in the series of 'Bassie and Adriaan' a kids series! Can you imagine? LOL they played it when things tensed up like them being chased by the evil Baron... Drommels Drommels en nog eens Drommels!
:oD
Fun those memories!

i haven't had a chance to read crisis of conscience yet, it's a 2 month wait here unfortunately for delivery and i feel it will probably answer some of my questions regarding the gb but it occurs to me - i wonder if they *really* believe what they teach, if they *really* believe it's the truth or are they really manipulating money makers operating a dysfunctional mlm scheme that ruins people's lives.
or perhaps somewhere in the middle lol.. oh yeah, and if anyone knows how the 'new light' is supposedly delivered i'd love to hear about it.. what do you think?
if anyone has read coc and has any quotes that might be useful please post :)
