I was told by a Jehovah's Witness that the children of the unrighteous are unclean. I take it that they were referring to children whose parents were not Jehovah's Witnesses. Has anyone heard this before or where in Scripture the read something that might make them come to such a conclusion?

The Jehovah's Witness' own Aid to Bible Understanding says, "The first recorded use of this form [Jehovah] dates from the 13th century C.E. [after Messiah]. Raymundus Martini, a Spanish monk of the Dominican order, used it in his book Pugeo Fidei of the year 1270. Hebrew scholars generally favor ‘Yahweh’ as the most likely pronunciation" (pp. 884-885).
"While inclining to view the pronunciation "Yah-weh" as the more correct way, we have retained the form "Jehovah" because of people's familiarity with it ..." (The same quote is found in the preface of The Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures, 1969).
Steven T. Byington, The Bible in Living English published by the Jehovah's Witnesses Watchtower Bible & Tract Society in the preface states that the pronunciation Jehovah is "A BLUNDER".

When my earthly father and my mother were alive I called them mom and dad and also refered to them when speaking to others as my father and my mother, but this did not manifest (make Known) to them who my father and mother were until I mentioned their names. The purpose of names is to distinguish one from another. Yahshua in communication ("prayer") with his and our Father Yahweh Who is in Heaven said "I have manifest (made known) Your Name to the men that you gave me out of the world ..." (Yahchanan [John] 17:6). Note that Father Yahweh revealed His Name to Moshe after he had asked Him what he should tell the Children of Ysryl if they asked "What is His Name?" (Exodus 3:13). Yahweh also instructed Moshe to tell the Children of Ysryl to remember Him by the Name Yahweh from generation to genearation. We are instructed in Scripture which is the inspired word of Yahweh to call on the Name Yahweh and make mention of His Name.

The facts on crucifixion, stauros, and the "torture stake"
by Leolaia infinally, i will look at biblical and patristic evidence bearing on the crucifixion of jesus in particular.
we need to examine the earliest known descriptions of the kind of crucifixion adopted by the romans and the specific terms they used to refer to it.
apparently the society believes that crux still meant "stake" in the second century a.d., when tacitus composed his annals.

Peace greetings ALL,
Whether Yahshua was executed on a cross or not, I still find the sign of the cross to be of pagan origin. If one of my loved ones was to executed unjustly by means of an electric chair, I would not wear a small image of an electric chair around my neck in rememberance of them. I have always found the image of the cross or Jesus hanging on a cross in churches uncouth.
