ok i walked out on austin powers because i thought it was so crude and god dishonoring.

since the fade i think it is very funny, still not a favorite but not the end of the world either.

any movies that were a big sin are nothing now?

So, my husband would not even meet the elders who just happened to drop by this morning.

he stayed inside and kept going about his business like they weren't even there.

i engaged them on the verandah hut politely explained that they'd caught us at a bad time as we were doing a big cleanup of the house.

the elders had even bought a pack of chocolate cookies around, so they were expecting to be invited in and offered coffee.

best way, for the future it might be an idea to remind them that in under no circumstances whatsoever do they call around uninvited.

Drinking at meetings / assemblies / conventions ... who's done it?

for me .... 1).

last district convention after having 'read up' (took some family to it).. 2).

last 'meeting' to watch step-father-in-law finally get his and get disfellowshipped for molestation.. ...both were taking vodka shots in the bathroom.. i'm sure there's lots of good stories out there..

we had a regular little Thursday night after the meeting drinkies in a lovely old pub conveniently located on the way home for us brothers, the PO would sometimes sniff out our arrangement then we'd lay low for a couple of weeks, funny thing is I kind of miss those days. The DC drinkies are legendary with the pub all the hipsters used to meet at after the final Sunday, The Barney Arms and yes I did witness them run out of beer! a lovely pub situated on the River Thames, and it always seemed to be a stunning early evening.

my grandmother asked me to read to her so i asked her what she wanted me to read.

was the watchtower, but she specfically asked for the one with "the timeline.

it for a few days and apparently hasn't read up.

i live close to a resonanbly busy street, 20 odd shops banks, a train station,a couple of cafes and coffee shops etc and usually see dubs doing street work close to the station and i'm now on nodding terms with an elder who is out most days of the week and have got close to recognizing most of the hard core of about a dozen of them , i was walking out of the cafe yesterday to be greeted by a couple of newbies i'd never seen before , a scruffy short dumpy man and a fairly well presented middle aged lady, i'll try and abridge the conversation as best as i can, we must have chatted for about 15 minutes and it was all in a good mannered style;.

me " have you sold many of those this morning ?".

jw guy " oh no we dont sell them we give them away for free" (like i didn't know that).
