AnOMaly sound like she has all the hallmarks of a former double life JW Reniaa who cruises dating sites all the while coming on here telling everyone she's going back to the WTS when she's cleaned up her seedy lifestyle, and all could be Eggnogg and Maze.

Open letter Re: Mr. Bowen, Mrs. Anderson
by Prime in"jws leaders need to mandate elder bodies to uniformly report abuse to the authorities no matter what jurisdiction; prohibit elders from being involved in any investigative process to decide guilt or innocence in place of the authorities; do away with the two-witness rule to determine, as if they were magistrates, guilt or innocence of someone accused; prohibit so-called repentant molesters from engaging in the door-to-door ministry, and always inform the congregation if a convicted or confessed molester is meeting with them.
" -barbara anderson .
this is another reason why the watchtower society doesn't require that the elders uniformly report abuse to the authorities no matter what jurisdiction.

it was quite a good thread this until the carrot danglers made it slightly disappointing, I'd still like to hear the more juicier points that were held back

Fed up with the way JWs treat those who can no longer believe
by hotspur inmy favourite uncle died about two years ago (non-witness) and my mother couldn't tell me .
earlier today i went round to the cathedral square of the city where i work for some lunch and i had the misfortune to sit near to an ol'boy witnessing to some people who were too polite to respond.
he kept going on about truth.

Millions now living will never die
by MrFreeze inyes, rutherford proclaimed in 1918 that "millions now living will never die.
" well it's been 95 years since.
how many 95+ year old people are alive on earth today?

that failed prophecy was in expectation of the resurrection of the faithful patriarchs of the OT who Rutherfraud had built the house Beth Sarim forin 1925, the generation who would live to see the events of 1914 at the great tribulation was a far far later 70's and 80's failure

Your Top 5 - Most Harmful JW Teachings
by Scully inwe all know that the doctrine and dogma of the wts is completely false, so i'm not even going to include topics like "trinity" or "gehenna" or anything like that in my personal list.. but i'd like to see what other people list as their top five most harmful jw teachings.. #5. females in the congregation are inferior to males.. #4. you must override your personal conscience in favour of wts rules, even when you know it's wrong.. #3. shunning disfellowshippedtm and disassociatedtm individuals, without being allowed to form your own opinion or hear their side of the story, even when it is a family member or close friend, this teaching destroys families and results in far too many people taking their own lives from the agony of being rejected by the only people they have ever had relationships with.. #2. forsaking higher education, well-paid employment and planning for retirement.. #1. the no-blood rule has cost more lives since it was first introduced by rutherford than jonestown, 10 times over..

I think the destruction of billiions of non JW's or those that dont have the right "heart condtion" or those who have continually rejected the message of "gods kingdumb" at Harmageddon is particularly damaging

Interesting quote from the DC
by GoodGuyGreg ini don't know if anybody else has mentioned this, but i'm currently at a dc in sweden, and this morning, during the symposium on different kinds of service, it was mentioned that 40% of baptisms are the result of informal witnessing.
if you add the number of baptisms of children of jw parents to this, how many are left that are baptized as a result of the door-to-door work?
doesn't sound very effective at all....

I'd even question the 40% coming from informal conversion probably another spin.

the funny thing on my JC the evidence from my accusers was obviously used in the first JC in which I was found guilty but in the appeal my accusers were used by me a make testimonies that I had quit speaking in a way deemed to be apostasy! crazy isn't it?

Rumor: April 3, 2015 start of Great Tribulation?
by Londo111 inon another forum, somebody mentioned that there is a growing belief with those high up in watchtower hierarchy that the great tribulation will begin april 3, 2015. evidently, one has to check the skycharts for that date and compare with 33 ceand also compare with the history of jws for past 40, 80, 120 years.
dont ask me to verify the rumor...these things come and go.
im sure lots of people in hq believe all sorts of things.. .

During Your IN Years If You Had Anointed At Your Hall, What Were They Like?
by LoisLane looking for Superman inthe scoop of humanity at one khall, the anointed ones" were a mixed group.. one bro, h. had been in for eons.
he was df for adultery, back in the day when they would announce your sin openly from the platform to everyone.

LMAO at these, a very good friend of ours who's dad was an elder suddenly decided he'd start partaking when he was only in his late 50's sadly most realized it was the early stages of mental illness, senility/dementia, he died a few years later, when I decided to partake at my local KH in 2011 ( my first and last meeeting in almost 20 years) a skinny, strange nuerotuc lady late 20's sitting in the same row as me partook as well, I was thinking about walking up to her after and speaking about "our" heavenly hope! probably would have been lost on her though.

should I stay or should I go?
by Crazyguy ini haven't had my dc yet and after reading about what's being said on saturday i was thinking about not going in protest as they are not being christ like.
will this be a good technique for my kids or should i go and endure the crap and then say a few things to my children while they're listening to this garbage?.

even feigning the most ridiculous far fetched excuse not to go is better than going, how about the dog ate the car park tickets? a DC offers nothing but stress , anxiety, heat, being totally uncomfortable and not forgetting being an absolute waste of anyone's time.
