the "reason" for a dissfellowshipping must have been a throw back to the 60's as a 70's kid I always remember "for conduct unbecoming for a Christian" I always did remember because my old man always seemed to make the announcement, then in the 80's the "unbecoming" seemed to be droppped but a local needs talk would follow.

Are JW's using different terminology for "congregation discipline"?
by booker-t ini have been out for over 20 years now and sometimes i run into a young jws on the street and the language seems to be "greek" to me.
i have a hard time understanding what they are talking about.
when i was in(90s) they had 4 catergories for congregation discipline.

also agreeing with JWfacts and Farkel, SBF seemed to be trolling for some time now, sometimes promoting the viewpoint that the WTS is full of crap and now he is saying its the truth again, and had this obsession that they are the biggest and fastest growing cult

My decision to openly greet df persons in the hall
by Daniel1555 inat the moment i am still going to all the meetings (for family reasons).. we have at the moment 1 df person who regularly comes (already df for 1.5 years).. when i opened him the door i always greeted him but in the hall i didn't as others could see it.. now i decided that my conscience can not bear this any longer.
i will greet him also in the hall or when others are around.. if any elders notice it and talk to me, i tell them my conscience does not allow to not greet that person.. did any of you do that too and have some experiences?.

I done it in my final year or so but was caught and was told by an elder if I continued to do it expect trouble, the strange thing is he stopped talking to me, I guess he was warned too, he told me some amazing gossip though

you are doing the right thing, I would write to them and demand that under no circumstances whatsoever do they ever call unannounced again or you will seek legal advice, do not answer any calls from them or voicemails and texts messages or emails , iphones can simply block any number you want now.

Can the jw organization be reformed?
by wannaexit ini know that this has been discussed in the past but i wanted to get some fresh opinions.
there are many out there that recognize the "rot" that is in watchtower but still feel that there is a "wholesome" side to it and are trying to bring about change or reform from within.. in 2002 when the rose colored glasses came off for me and i truly started to understand ttatt, i still felt that there was some redemable aspects of the organization.. i felt that russell had some doctrinal things right.
i don't feel like that anymore.

anyone seen Gods celestial forward moving victoriuos orginization embedded on his chariot lately? I cant say I've seen it much either, what I've seen is apathy, materialism, foul mothed behaviour, the covering up of child rapists, and pay outs in court cases, the merging and closing of KH's, real evidence of it, I must have missed the chariot, perhaps its figerative!

"we dont care what people think of us"
yes sadly the case , no change there then
I guarantee you if you was to conduct a survey in one of the most poulated places on the planet and interview a million people and ask every single one of them what " are the main details of the Kingdom of God that we as Jehovahs Witnessess are preaching?" that 99.999999% of all people will answer " the only real things I know about JW's are a) they dont take blood transfusions, b) dont celebrate Christmas and c) bang on my door trying to flog me unintersting magazines! A great world wide campain !

I remember the hype when the Soviet Union broke up and the WT was legalized and some of the figures being banded about the there could be maybe close to a million publishers in Russia alone how many was there 60,000? they way I see the coming years as has always been the case in my lifetime that the WTS will fall so behind in peoples consciousness because of the ridiculous rise in the worlds population that they will hold very little relevance to people in gerneral, thats why Bugbears figures should be looked at with interest, thanks Eden I'd forgot that its almost 7000 hours to convert 1 single person to baptism! bit of mental athrimatic tells me that a 10 hour a month publisher would take 60 years to complete the task?
"with Jeehovah anything is possible!" didnt help your own brothers in Malawi very much did he in the 70's yet helped your brothers in Mexico to steal forged national service exemption certificates while the poor Malawi brothers were tortured/raped/murdered, certainly anything is possible with Jeehovah
