weve all heard it.

a person starts studying with jehovahs witnesses and love what they are learning so much that they cant stop talking about it.

bubbling with enthusiasm, they spill everything they are learning with their friends and family...or anybody who will listen.

very true, its exactly like the original Bible Study your own self was some time before, your exuberance at seeing the prospect of a new world! the resurection! wild animals becoming tame! I wished someone had pulled me to one side and had a quiet word in my lug hole! I wonder how the path of my life would have been?

Discussion with some elders

hello everyone just wanted to relate a situation that occurred a few days ago.

so i have quit going to meetings for a few months now based on some issues i have with the explanations of current doctrines.

my wife is none too happy with this but over the last few months we have had some date nights and have tentitively agreed to disagree.

tread very carefully now Go, unless you really could not care about the implications of DFing and the shunning and grief that comes with it, I wished I had shown more sensitivity when discussing all things "apostate" with my wife and members of my family and friends in the cong, possibly refuse to meet with your elders , inform them you are doing just fine and if you ever need any help you will contact them. Your wife will be going through massive turmoil inside with your new found discoveries, she very likley would have met with these elders, they would be enforcing the point that you are a danger to her spirituality.

There are some questions I have had about the JWs view "post-Armaggeddon"

i have always wondered how jws believe about "post-armaggeddon" earth.

question#1 how will jws survivors bury all of the dead bodies.

with about 4 billion people on earth today how can 8 million jw(1/2 of them children and babies) bury all of those dead bodies?

what about the decomissioning of the worlds nuclear reactors? a quick search tells me there are 435 active operable plants, plus many in construction, what about the amount of oil platforms and pipelines worldwide, coal powered power stations, steel plants , copper mines etc, all the miltiary hardware that is spread over the enite planet? gas and oil refineries?

this is, of course, a recurrent topic that's made possible whenever a kingdom hall decides to march out on your neighborhood and street.. today it happened again in my neighborhood as a drum up for the memorial observance scheduled for monday the 14th of april.. why christ's passion and death should be observed on a monday of holy week i failed to ask this morning.

perhaps someone else might like to volunteer, but it seemed just another reason to be sceptical about the whole thing, though hardly ranking with changing ancient chronologies to get jerusalem's temple destruction 2520 years before 1914.. anyway two gentlemen in white shirts and ties greeted me politely enough at my door and presented me with a flyer about an event which they described as momentous.

they asked me if i had ever intended one and i assented.

a number of times I've had that stupid response to "write to the Society" if you have any queeries etc blah blah blah, I tell them I've written to Brooklyn/Mill Hill on numerous times and have not ever received a reply.

booker-t you mentioned twice that the Earths population is 4 billion! it is a shade under 7.3 billion ! as St George said the Haiti earthquake , Japanese/South East Asia Tsunami brought the worlds emergency services into complete meltdown the few million nuerotic, maniclly depressed egocentrics dealing with a world wide clean up of 10 billion plus corpses is laughable.

Are witnesses the best behaved people in the world?

hi everyone, i was discussing with a family member recently and was encouraged to at least consider the benefits of being raised in the truth.

for example,i'm not a drunk, don't do drugs, respect others etc.

the point is i've found lots of nonwitness friends who have similar behavior.. growing up, when a worldly person does something good like help someone i'll hear things like "that's nice of him, for a nonwitness.

hell no ! some of the very most vile forms of human behaviour I have ever seen has come from JW's just becuase they all don a cheap suit , look clean shaven and bang on doors with a fake smile means nothing, take the suit off and they have all the traits of normal members of the "world" dreadfull people.
