sounds like he done very well for himself, some years ago we had an American family move to our cong by the name of Worth Thornton who served in Bethel for many years ( Ray mentions him) and his contacts in the transport office enabled him to set up in business when he left, he done very well indeed, his business ? an aircraft broker, very wealthy indeed, he died a few years after I faded.

It is 5am and I still can't sleep. Contemplating life, doing research on religion, world history, science...
by Stepford Wife inmy husband is still asleep but he will get up in about an hour for work so i'm going to quickly tell you my inconclusive conclusion.
i don't know if i can believe in god anymore.
i have come to the simple conclusion that he is either dead or evil but he is definitely not loving.

Fulano if a GB member was announced to be visiting the UK or anywhere in Europe they would sell out any venue, the same when GB members visited Twickenham in the 60's and 70's 60k plus were packed in, more at The International Convention at Wembley in 1969, us Brits do as much sucking up to these characters as anyone, sadly these degenerate scroungers are known worldwide. -

Fading is never 100% successful is it?

after fifteen years away from meetings and my old jw life you'd think my fade could be called 'successful' and for the most part it is.

I think you've got to a level where you can draw a line at and thats good that you still maintain contact with your mum but there will always be a issue with the discussion of so called "spiritual matters" I tried,god I tried to keep my mouth shut and I think my folks would have been content with that but it didn't work, I showed my true apostate colours again and again, you've done well to get to this stage, its never easy, they dont make it easy. My last contact on a one to one with my mum about 10 years ago resulted in her asking me to leave her house. -

as a jw in the 1980's The Revelation book got as close to insanity as any other book I can remember, there are more I'm sure but the 7 trumpet blasts and its modern day fulfilment FFS.
