my 25 year anniversary of life after the WTS
by jookbeard inits been a hell of a journey and not one i regret, i've had my testimony featured in free minds, married divorced, married again had 2 children, survived a very serious illness and come out just about unscathed.
it all started sometime in the early 1990's around the time of the waco siege, i just couldn't accept these crazy doctrines anymore of the belief system i was born into, the death and destruction of billions, the big a, the restoring of the earth to a paradise and the even bigger lie of a resurrection of billions, come early 1993 i had decided to fade, i attended the memorial of that year and decided never ever to return and i never did, come 1994 i had really hit rock bottom, divorced the following year, moved away, started a new career, a new life, the rest they say is history, anyone reading this and having similar thoughts, go for it!
you wont regret it..

Phizzy; it was'nt so easy visits to the library where I found a wonderful little book on jw's by Alan Rogerson, the evangelical christian outreach groups such as Reachout Trust were very helpful as well even though I was a pole apart in wanting to accept their religious standpoint but they were very helpful in supplying resource materials and books, and the jw newsletters Comments from the Friends and the Free Minds journel which I looked forward to seeing when they were issued
Good JW, good advice!

JW's on my front sidewalk
by OnTheWayOut inso last weekend, the jw's ring the bell and my wife answers.
we live in a heavily spanish neighborhood but don't really speak spanish.
i thought my wife was quite clear that she is a "sister" to them, but maybe the one in charge of the group didn't get the message.

a deal breaker, the so called GB are nothing but the wizard in the movie when the curtain is pulled out, I used that example in my JC, a group of institutionalised pathetic sexual deviant OAP's who have as much insight into biblical prophecy as a man sweeping the streets

by darkspilver inthe previously posted wt letter of december 15, 2017 "re: 2017 service year report" was for the us congregations.. as expected the second (and third) paragraphs of the letter are being re-written to feature highlights in the local field to the congregations that it is addressed to.... hence below is what i understand to be the highlighted figures in the letter that is being sent and read out (in the first week of january 2018) to congregations in the philippines.. i believe that the philippines is traditionally one of the wt's *star performers* in terms of growth (*cough*cough* if you exclude the 1975-fallout) .
