JWs in a frenzy!
by leaving_quietly inanyone else get the distinct impression that jws are being worked up into a frenzy with all the changes and activity nowadays?
by the end of august, there will have been four campaigns inside of a year.
one last november, a memorial campaign, a convention campaign and an advertise jw.org campaign.. then there's the conventions with all the hooplah around that with all the video, and the aggrandizement of synchronized gb talks.

If Jehovah God was a C.E O. of a company With a Goal of Transforming this Earth into a Paradise He has Failed miserably.
by smiddy init may be argued it started out ok , but soon turned to crap with mismanagement.
the first big booboo came when jehovah chose abels sacrifice over cains .
(jehovah) choose a man who slaughters one of his own creations , spilling blood , murdering if you will one of his own creations , then approving him over a man , cain ?

his CV is bloody rubbish isnt it, the list is endless,
1) Screwd up in Eden
2) screwed up with the flood and 100 years after
3) screwed up with his so called people "the nation of Israel"
4) screwed up with the King David incident
5) sent his son to a pointless death, while his son lied to the world
6) sent some pointless mumbo jumbo to a apostle and dedicated an entire book to it and let mankind think it had modern day meanings an fullfillments.
Jeehovah , you have failed ! clear your desk .

WHY NOT fire Jehovah and hire a BETTER God?
by Terry inwhat kind of god are you looking for?.
the one i want to hire has to fill these requirements:.
1. kind to a fault without being a namby-pampy hippy.

the problem is this angry evil diety of the OT has got the contract for eternity , the bidding process was clearly unfair as there wasn't a tender in place or bids from other dieties and we are paying the price, in the real world Jeehovah should have been fired after the idiot screwed up with the mess in Eden.

It's Foolish to Believe the Watchtower Will Always Be Around.
by kneehighmiah inseptember 11, 2001. riding the bus to school that tuesday morning we discussed the implications of the monday night football game between the broncos and the dolphins.
by lunchtime our entire world have changed dramatically.
america had passed into a new era that would lead to major changes.

I think it will still be around in some shape of form , but it will continue to change, my father always used to boast that " if I was the only JW in the entire world I'd still believe it" how many still have that mindset ? tons of them. The WT of my childhood is unreconisable to the WT of today, we will wait.

My Elderette is attempting to change the subject again
by Faithful Witness inwe were in the middle of discussing their use of god's personal name, and miss k was not able to find one place in the bible, where jesus actually said the name out loud (that wasn't a quote from the ot).
we had started out by talking about jesus being "the way, the truth and the life.
" then she stated that one of the purposes of jesus' coming to earth, was "to make god's name known.

her comment that Jesus is not even an accurate rendtion is probably one of the most pathetic straw man reasonings I've heard in some time, stop these vistis ASAP, your talking to a brick wall. She keeps on suggesting to study the Teach Book again and you said you'd think about it! huge mistake ! what were you thinking? for the umpteenth time you are being too nice to her , put your foot down !

Midweek Meetings no longer Necessary
by Tech49 ini am sure we have all seen the recent letter to the boe concerning the change that will take place to the meeting arrangement during the week of the co visit.
to recap the basics: the meeting that usually contains the cong bible study (book study) and a co talk will be discontinued, publishers are encouraged to use their family worship night that week to cover book study material.. so here is a point that i think has been missed, or not even considered:.
if that particular meeting is hereby deleted from the schedule, the co and his wife will never ever have to participate in or go to another "book study", or "bible study" night again.

notsurewheretogo;
you have either not been a JW very long or you have expereinced a very unique group of CO's from where your from that 99.9% of us have never experienced, being a born in since 1966 I remember many CO's over the years and I can count on the fingers on 1 hand how many could be described as so called loving men who genuinely "cared for the flock" etc edit that make it 1 , who was the man in a position of authority as few years ago in our circuit who wanted inactive publishers in his congs DA'ed , who was the idiot who cornered me at a visit one night and bombarded me with a set of loaded questions that if I didnt lie would have sealed my DFing, who was the man who spoke out against me "not being spiritual" enough for my JW wife? who are the man who appoint those because he's had a green handshake, yet overlook the ordinary hard working brothers beacuse it wasn't in his finacial interest? yes all CO's! DCMShirley is one of the most switched on and knowledgable posters here, dismiss him at your peril.

is it such a big deal ? IIRC the book study and CO talk was the very first meeting during his week and was usually an ass kissing and "getting to know you" night, cant be long before they will complelty stop the "book study" anyway, with DO's being finished this year CO's probably have very busy workloads now.

Kate , it just goes to show their lack of unity which they constantly bang on about when some parts around the globe elders will view YMCA membership as a "grey area" where as my old cong would happily DF you in an instant if you was to join thats why no body did, just becsuse its a 1979 article reinforces their abillity to be able to quote it from the WT, if you was to casually sit in front of a JC and say the article was printed in 1979 and it must be "old light" I think in most instances you would have signed your DF in a second.
