I see the UK and a few more other countries having a blank in the increase over 2017, I wonder why that is, its clearly a minus though -

the Japanese Yakuza boss who had his very own daughter killed because being a jw she wouldn't join the crime family, after deciding to leave the Yakuza he starts a study and is now an elder, yes I'm sure that really happened.

After all these years
by truthseeker ini found out a couple of weeks ago that friends who i haven’t seen for over 20 years left the watchtower two years ago.
and it’s having a ripple effect on their friends who are in.. i was also going to post on the thread about posters who’ve left but it seems to have been locked!.
i have been very busy these last few years, working on my hobbies, writing articles and books and haven’t had much time for jw activism.

JW elders stumped by Watchtower Publications
by Roger Kirkpatrick ini was approached by two jehovah’s witness elders who handed me a pamphlet advertising the jw .org website.
each man carried a bible and an apple ipad.
they told me that they enjoyed visiting with people about the bible, and asked if i was a bible reader.

that scenario would never have happened in a million years, they would have just folded the carts up and headed to the nearest coffee shop but a good cardboard cutout for exjw's that have become Evangelical Christians who want to try and reach out to active jw's going about their cart work and I predict the amount of success this approach will have to be absolutely zero, two classes of Christians? who GAF? none of it remotely exists

riddled with lies as we all know, especially with their huge KH sell offs, how many interested/newly baptised ones are going to want to travel miles upon miles to KH's away from their homes? none I'd say, are there increases in the national reports of Japan, Germany, most of Europe? even without looking at it I know there isnt

The Reasons for Cart Witnessing
by Simon inwhatever we think of it, you have to admit that it's quite "genius".. the door to door ministry as done in western developed countries where the jw quirky religion has probably reached their saturation level was a complete and utter waste of time in terms of the effort expended to recruit people.. at the same time, it was rarely something that anyone enjoyed which led to people being labelled as inactive, being pressured to doing more and maybe ultimately deciding jwism wasn't for them and leaving.. there was also the issue that many jws are actually pretty bad at knowing and articulating their beliefs so were pretty incapable of getting any meaningful message across.. they solved all this with the cart witnessing.
the real point isn't to recruit, it's to make life easier for jws.
now they can stand and chat with their friend, have a coffee, not talk to anyone or make eye contact and still act as a walking billboard for jw.org.

I've noticed the two ladies that I speak with regularly have cooled off when I see them in my town, its just a Hi or a nod now, I wonder if my subterfuge has been blown?
