No Need For EdenTree Unless God Knew An Angle was...

no need for eden tree unless god knew an angle was...going to try and foil his purpose for other life forms.this has always not added up for me.

there is really no reason for the tree (s) unless god knew that he had angles that were already bad in their 'hearts'.

so the questions i have on this are.... were the angles tested to see if they would remain faithful?were humans created to be the test for the angles?was it was 'fair' to have spirit creatures (millions of years old?

To bad Eve didn't eat of the Tree-of-teleportation before the tree-of-the-knowlege-of-good-and-bad. It would have solved all of our travel issues.

That was by far the stupidest tree in the garden.

Seems we focus so much on the tree in the middle of the garden that no one considers the other trees in the rest of the garden.

How about the tree of math knowlege. Its not a natural gift or my GPA would be higher.

We didn't stay long enough in that garden to utilize anything else other than 10% of our brains. Considering Satan, would he make us eat of something that would make us easier to manipulate or harder.

He successfully fed us the stupidest fruit in the garden. Maybe just maybe we would have "eventually" ate that fruit but only after we had developed some other factors that would allow us to process it better.

Again, the story is highly symbolic.

I am still looking for a tree of super strength.... LOL!

I thought your points on this were spot on.

I figured when Jesus died that the true religion died with him. What was left behind was mankind's best guess at what was "appropriate". The result being religious practices that were reworkings of older religions of times past with popular Jewish figures interwoven in. This is the wolf in sheeps clothing guys.

In other words, why start another inferior religion to replace a group that was selected by blood. If a group that had blood lines, prophets, Moses, King Solomon, David the King, the land of Israel, and etc was rejected, why the heck entrust it to a group of amateurs that clumsily claims authority.

When Jesus died, he eliminated all earthly authority. If we believe in him, there is no earthly religious authority or anyone claiming such authority that can truly have power over you. This is the major advantage of Jesus being in the heavens.

Remember, all authority in the heavens and on earth was placed into his hands. God and Jesus knew and know what they are doing. its humans that are playing catchup right now.

the funny thing is, that every new thing you learn, God has already known it.

Apostacy is a loaded word for a controlling group that knows no true love. they, like the pharasees, know that recognition of Jesus authority in an individual's life puts them out of a job. Thats why groups will attempt to reduce Jesus importance, eliminate his importance, obscure, or shift his importance. He is either, second to Jehovah, just a prophet, God Himself, or whatever. He is rarely spoke of as a mediator due to the control issues experienced by many religious leadership. Witnesses included. 1 Timothy 2:5 is one of the least used scriptures used by Jdubs.

His power is in freeing us now from the oppressive yoke of stupid doctrine and the leaders who perpetuate it. The worst they can call us is fools! Great! Scripture says that God will do great things through the foolish things of the earth.

Worshiping an act itself

you probably heard of people worshiping people (such as a parent, a study conductor), things (crosses, money), or organizations (a church, the washtowel babble and crap slaveholdery).. i believe, however, there is one other thing one can worship: actions.

and, among the witlesses, the most common acts that are worshiped are field circus and boasting session attendance.

this happens when one believes that they are going to see one or more of their problems gone as long as they are attending every boasting session and/or doing excessive field circus.

Interestingly, your subject refers to a term which is rarely used today... Orthopraxy....

It is the opposite of Orthodoxy...

Orthodoxy is "right belief". This term got it start and boost around the time of Constantine.

The reason it was discussed so fervently back then is because they wanted to counteract all of the "Orthopraxic" religions whose focus was on "right practice".

Orthopraxy is totally related to pagan religions who base their system of religion on practices or actions, no faith needed. What made these type of religions so dangerous, is that any practice, whether considerate of life or not, was possible. From ritual cutting, to sacrificing children in fire.

As you can see, with the JWs and most religions, that their "Orthodoxy" is "Orthopraxy" in disguise. The system of worship is whats worshipped!

As more and more start to use this term, you will see it begin to blur into whatever the relgious powers want you to see it as.

It was an overview of the situation in Nepal one month after King Gyanendra took direct power and the BBC quotes Tulsi Giri, the cabinet deputy chairman.

What makes this interesting is that further on in the article Mr Giri is identified as belonging to "Nepal's tiny Jehovah's Witnesses religious community." Explaining that he has now returned from self-imposed exile in India the article continues, “A minister in Nepal's first democratically elected government of 1959-60, he then sided with King Mahendra - Gyanendra's father - when he sacked that administration, and played a key role in 1960-1990, when there was no democracy, serving as prime minister."

The cause for concern is that an active Jehovah's Witness convert is now a key advisor to the King of Nepal and wields immense power over Nepal. This probably explains the spurt in fraudulent Christian conversions in Nepal in recent years. From 15,000 in 1970 to over 400,000 Christian converts today, Nepal is considered to be having fastest growth of Christian population in the world, says Mr. Anil Stephen in Christian Today Magazine.

Nepal once considered to be one of the most peaceful countries has turned out to be a country burning with conflicts after the Christian Conversions Game started in Nepal. Is this a coincidence or there is some religious or political connection?

Waiting on the faithful and discreet slave b.s...

i was just considering what really made me question the witnesses enough to investigate them and search other sources for information.. they often say stuff about "waiting on jehovah" or "wait for the brothers".

i got concerned because the witnesses were getting between my brain and my mouth.

that was way too close for comfort without a good reason why.

Well today I wanted to find a reference to the substantiate the coloquialisms we often here in the kingdom halls.

7 As Bible prophecies undergo fulfillment, our understanding of the Scriptures is refined. At times, though, we may think that a certain clarification is overdue. If it is not forthcoming when we would prefer it, are we willing to wait? Remember, Jehovah saw fit to reveal “the sacred secret of the Christ” a little at a time and over a period of some 4,000 years. (Ephesians 3:3-6) Do we, then, have any reason to be impatient? Do we doubt that a “faithful and discreet slave” has been appointed to give Jehovah’s people “their food at the proper time”? (Matthew 24:45) Why deprive ourselves of godly joy because not everything is completely understood? Remember, Jehovah decides when and how to reveal his ‘confidential matters.’—Amos 3:7.

Peter counseled: “Consider the patience of our Lord as salvation.” (2 Peter 3:15) Jehovah’s patience has allowed millions of additional righthearted ones to learn the truth. Is that not wonderful? Further, the longer Jehovah exercises patience, the more time we have to “keep working out [our] own salvation with fear and trembling.”—Philippians 2:12; 2 Peter 3:11, 12.

9 A waiting attitude helps us not to be discouraged when opposition, sickness, advancing age, or other problems hinder us in Kingdom service. Jehovah expects us to serve him wholeheartedly. (Romans 12:1) However, God’s Son, who feels “sorry for the lowly one and the poor one,” does not demand more than we can reasonably offer; neither does Jehovah. (Psalm 72:13) Thus, we are encouraged to do what we can, patiently waiting until circumstances change—either in this system of things or in that which is to come. Remember: “God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name, in that you have ministered to the holy ones and continue ministering.”—Hebrews 6:10.

10 A waiting attitude also helps us to avoid presumptuousness. Some who have become apostate were unwilling to wait. They may have felt that there was a need for adjustments, either in Bible understanding or in organizational matters. Yet, they failed to acknowledge that Jehovah’s spirit moves the faithful and discreet slave to make adjustments in His due time, not when we may feel that this is needed. And any adjustments must be in harmony with Jehovah’s will, not our personal ideas. Apostates allow a presumptuous attitude to warp their thinking and stumble them. But if they had adopted the mental attitude of Christ, they could have retained their joy and remained among Jehovah’s people.—Philippians 2:5-8

I like how they associate independent thought with the most hated creature on earth... the apostate!! Duh, duh, duuuh!!

i lied, somewhat.

yes i did talk to people about the "truth" but not in favourable terms.. has anyone simply stated, "i have not been in service this month"?

Your response reveals your ignorance. You assume Moses is the key. You assume the "ones taking the lead" are the key. Your'e the fool. Keep your eye simple and see that it is obedience to God regardless of who is taking the lead. The most important relationship you keep missing is the one that involves God and man directly through the sole mediator, Jesus Christ. Until you realize this, there is no hope or future in you because your apparent ignorance leads you to darkness and death not the enlightenment and life you believe you have in your grasp currently.

Understand BANE, there is nothing you can do physically that will provide you one single benefit to your spiritual well-being. Not field service, not time keeping, not elder position, not even the ritualistic meeting attendance. It is how you treat those you hate and regard as worthless that gains treasures in heaven. If the system of belief you rely on is not complete, then it is NOT a true reflection of how God wants us to treat one another. The Watchtower fails this test because they claim they are the truth but still change and adjust for new light. Is kindness new light? Is meekness new light? Is long-suffering new light? Nope. Its worked for years and obtains the same positive results for the giver and receiver.

These are the perfect gifts God has given mankind which have served mankind for years. These simple truths are also what Jesus promoted. Not an authoritative system of human governance that counts by hour the activities of its members.

Hey all, just discovered J-W.net picked this up. I posted this transcipt onto my little blog @ jehovahswitnessbooks.com.

I found this transcript in 07 maybe early 08.

The original site is no longer up but I saw its value and posted it. I dug it up cause my mom is starting to question things now.

I am hoping this transcript will help her see that she is not alone in dealing with stupid elders and their power tripping. She has her own transcripts of ridiculous ramblings from elders. She is still in cause @ 70, its difficult to start over.

I wish I knew more information about the characters involved, but I dont. I just love this transcript cause I was impressed by Dale's handling of the line of reasoning of the elders. Sadly the line of reasoning is the same for most judicial meetings. This is the very reason why a lot of these transcripts seem repetetive.

Do you find yourself kinda thinking conspiricy theorist are maybe correct?

i don't know if it is me or if it is becauce i was taught so much false teachings growing up, or maybe that the watch tower publications are about a 10th grade level and when i read a thoughtful article i want to believe it.

but boy, television media seems to present the public with truths the same way the watchtower presents its truth.

with 10 minute sound bites, never getting to deep and really not explaining very well the history of some of the subjects.just a thought!

To conspire means "to join in a secret agreement to do an unlawful or wrongful act or to use such means to accomplish a lawful end."

Simply its a lie.

Individuals who consider the plausibility of any conspiracy theory knows that the devil may be in the details.

Individuals who are all to ready to disregard a conspiracy theory have a simplistic view of Satan, Lucifer, and Evil.

True there are "time and unforeseen occurances".

There are also the machinations of the Devil which are filled with lies and deception on all levels. If you are not at least considering this then you are not being as cautious as serpents.

That being the case I would never just blatantly dismiss a theory. Because it is just that, a theory. We have what would be called the "official story" from the news but who is willing to swallow that whole. As long as we cannot trust our news sources then everything is theory and no one's point of view should be labeled absurd.

We all know lies exist and can happen anywhere and for any reason. Mostly the reasons they do are to keep us in the dark as to what is really going on. That is what a lie is designed to do.

If our own President can do underhanded things to our constitution, what makes you think an authority on the melting point of metal can't be paid off? Are our personal rights being slowly taken away, just a conspiracy theory as well?
