So... are the apes now allowed to drive, seek employment, earn minimum wage, attend public schools, retire, go on welfare, travel, etc? No? But these are all rights that humans take for granted. So would it be logical to conclude that this is truly about granting rights to apes, or about taking them from people?

Do you hate elders and ex-elders?
by nvrgnbk indo you think they all ended up being elders because they were ambitious and loved to exercise authority over others?.
or do you realize that each elder has his own story and that some became elders under great pressure?.
do you really think that all of the elders enjoyed participating in judicial committees?.

Only one, but that's because he's a conniving, back-biting, greedy blowhard of a prick. Which has nothing to do with being an elder. I'd hate him anyway.

My very first exposure to the wintesses was when I was six and my mom was studying, and the pioneer lady she was studying with brought a pioneer friend and her son along. The son was a few years older than me, and I'm not sure why he and I both weren't made to sit there during the study, I guess they just didn't want to mess with us. Anyway, it was suggested that we play in my room and I forget the gory details, but the witness boy ended up swiping whatever toys of mine that would fit in his pockets/bookbag/whatever.

I was at a house with the PO and his wife. We were inside, talking to an old man and woman whom they knew, but I had never seen before. The old lady asked the PO's wife if I was her son, which was a little weird because she was easily old enough to be my grandma, maybe great grandma. But whatever, she said no, we're just friends. So they keep talking and about thirty seconds later she again asks if I was her son, and the PO's wife again said no we're just friends. So this keeps going on, and the old lady obviously has absolutely no idea what's happening, because in ten minutes of conversation she asked if I was their son no fewer than a dozen times. That's not an exaggeration, and I'm not being a downer on old people, because this was truly sad. I'm like, do I excuse myself, or what, because I'm being a distraction, or just wait it out so I don't look like a jerk. It was really awkward.

What do you know about 'CHEMTRAILS'?
by Gill inwhat do you know about chemtrails?.
i understand these are toxic chemical trails left by aeroplanes that are sent up by the governments and not the same as the water vapour contrails.
some believe that in the long run our governments may be intent on ridding the earth of the majority of us by using poison gases or infectious diseases and are getting used to leaving these unusual trails inthe sky.......but i've wondered what they are for a long time and the uk govt has already admitted dropping pesticides on at least one part of the uk as an experiment on the people.. i have googled and u tubed a bit on this concerning information but want to know if there is something to worry about or not?.

Chemtrails really don't stand up to the assault of logic. I could see a very few planes here and there carrying out experiments, but the kind of wholesale canvassing described by the conspiracy theorists would require a lot of planes. A LOT of planes. Where are they taking and landing? The airbases? The runways would be hot from chemtrail planes all the time. It would never stop, and that would get noticed. There would be pilots and crew for all those planes, ground crew, factories manufacturing the chemtrail "chemicals", warehouses of the stuff, manifests, administration, etc. With something as big as this supposedly is there would literally be millions of people involved. There would be people leaving the program all the time. Even under threat, can that many people keep a secret for as long as this is supposed to have been going on? Really? There would surely be some evidence of this going on besides some pics on the conspiracy websites of the odd contrail that is sure to happen how and then, and some flakey "analyses" of the stuff supposedly being released, with no documentation, which probably never happened outside the conspiracy theorists' fantasies. It's just untenable.

How are they controlling the use of technology during meetings/conventions?
by candela inthere was no texting or cellphones readily available for all teenagers and kids when i last attended a meeting or convention.
you use to have to talk or draw or write notes to keep yourself entertained during the long hours of boredom, which wasn't easy to do discretely.
i would've love to have texting phones in that time!

I don't think there's any threat anyone could make which would compel or coerce me to enter a DC these days, and hasn't been for many years, but if I did end up there, I'd definitely have my DS and Pokemon Diamond and Pearl with me now. I wouldn't make it without that.

I'am Confused
by bobld inat the end of april,2008 the gb/fds( god's spokesperson/ channel of communication) cancelled/deleted one meeting where we are to gather, incite and love one another.. the bible, god's holy word at hebrews 10:24,25 let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works not forsaking the gathering of ourselves,as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you should behold the day drawing near.. so the gd/fds says we do not have to gather together.do not have to incite to love.we have the custom of forsaking one another.the day in not near.. yet god's word says the exact opposite.. bob.
ps:when the annoucement was made the r&f said "was that not wonderful of the gb/fds of this new provision".sorry i'am confused who is right god or the gb/fds..

Yeah, I can see the reasoning behind this. You have a book, which you're supposed to study... on your own? That is, without someone there to tell you what to think about what you're reading? What if someone goes above and beyond and actually gets a bible out and reads without an approved
representativeservant at hand to explain the "official" stance on something as handed down by Jehovah himself? And then you go to a small, rather informal gathering to mull it over? That's pretty dangerous, if you think about it. That's almost like letting someone sort of think for themselves. Almost. It's also a chance to almost kind of enjoy youself, compared to the other meetings, anyway. It's all most irregular and unsupervised and subversive. It's amazing that it was allowed to continue for as long as it did. I believe the time is not far off when individual study in general will be discouraged. You saw it here. -

Witnesses on the train
by Simon inthey are having their dc here in calgary at the pengrowth saddledome so this morning the lrt train was full of them.. what a spectacle.. guys in ill-filling suits (on a roasting hot day) and 22 year old women dressed like they are 42, all with their silly name badges and yapping on loudly (much louder than anyone else ever talks to each other on the train - i guess they have to be conspicuous eh?).
little did they know that sat just feet away from them was an evil apostate ... ooooh.

If someone stood up and yelled that it was their book, I'd have stood up and yelled that no, it was my damn book, and there's no way they're stealing my study. If I made it on stage I'd be sure to ask the dub giving the part if I could "count" that on my "time". If they managed to produce the guy who got hit in the face with the book and had him on stage too, I'm pretty sure that "counts" as a return visit.

I might as well have been born in. I think I was six when I was made to start going to the meetings. I was in up through early adulthood before doing the fade. I'm still very embarrassed about it. I've never really talked about it with anyone. I have one close friend I've been wanting to tell, but I haven't yet.

The back door was open for some reason. I don't remember if the air conditioning was out or if they had shampooed the carpet or what. I always sat right beside the door so I could duck out the very second the meeting was over. The PO was doing his thing and a cat walked in the open door. He told me to put it out, so I did, and it came right back, so I did that a few times and finally I swatted a couple times. Gently, just to make it leave, I love cats. I didn't think anything of it at all, but it was apparently quite the scandal at the time.
