Until "Normal" means shunning kids and parents on command, letting babies die for lack of blood, protecting pedophiles and other criminals and shunning those who go public about them, not voting, reading all your "questions" and "answers" from the bottom of the page and calling that a "discussion" well, you get the picture. Normal. A Jehovah's Witness doesn't know the meaning of normal. With the Tower as their standard, ignorance in that regard is only to be expected.

JW becoming normal religion
by Realist inam i wrong or is there a trend to make the wt to a normal religion?
first they gave up to predict who the new king of the north is.
then they stopped predicting the end of the world.

Do your parents still talk to you?
by scootergirl injust curious if your parents still have contact with you after you have been df'd/da'd.
mine have stood by w/strong convictions not to have contact w/me.
they have to have some being that i have kids that they want to see (but that is very minimal).

Mine do, and I am grateful for that. It takes a lot of strength to stand against the Tower. I'm proud of them for it. I've lost too many familiy members, the cancer known as the Jehovah's Witnesses has destroyed our once close extended family.

I think the only people you need to fear on this board are the lurkers, other Jehovah's Witnesses that while coming here themselves will still rat you out. I think the percentage that would do that is pretty slim though and I have only seen it a couple of times that I knew about. As for letting them scare you away, I wouldn't. The price of freedom is high, but it is worth it.

Sell now ... we'd get a good price!
by Simon inwell, if you want to get the top price for something it's best to sell when there is a lot of interest and things are in vouge / in fashion .... with all the recent media attention i reckon it is the perfect time to sell off the royal family!
the americans would probably take them off our hands and i reckon we could get a good price ... texas or something in return.
for sale: one royal family.

Sorry Simon,
You don't have ROOM in England for Texas! Besides the mesquite and cactus probably wouldn't grow there and being so far from Mexico would cause a statewide panic for all the Hispanic Texans. Besides the rest of the US and Mexico would probably get sucked into the hole where Texas was! It would definitely improve your eating and your sports life though, Ribs and Corn on the Cob with gas at little over a buck a gallon. Tex/English, hmmmm, kilts with cowboy hats??? Nope, that's Tex/Scots, hmmmm....boots and big belt buckles with little Sherlock Holmes hats??? I never really thought about what Englishmen wear. James Bond always looked American to me. I would say the little bowler hat but Mike Fink is who I think of with that or maybe some Boston politician. I don't know Englishman. I sure liked your parade today though and the flyover with the Concorde. Happy Jubilee! Also, do the Royals Rodeo???

Greedy, bumming pioneers..did U know any? LOL
by LyinEyes inwild turkey and his elder friend ( who is still in ) were talking about this last nite.
seems like most of the pioneers we knew in our area were moochers(sp?
) they would go to any means to save a penny,.

Funny, I had just called them Moochers in the thread by Englishman about the Jubilee. They came to our little rural area from Miami or points north, and while happy to get us locals to keep them in our homes, give them rides, fix their cars and give them part-time jobs they still managed to act as though they were a little uppity. I used to attribute it to being Yankees (even the ones from Miami were really from MN and MA) and living in the city. Now I think it was more of a class deal, they were after all the shock troops of Jehovah's Organization. I have told on here before how one finally pushed me to threaten to smear his ass all over the Kingdom Hall parking lot, he tried to scold me for shaking hands with my cousin who was df'd for smoking. He ran like a rabbit and never said another word to me. I felt kind of bad about it later, but not bad enough to ever mention it to him. They left not long after that. Kenny Casper, John Zannis, Jimmy Seymour, David O'blenis, Helen Smith The Anointed and husband and more. Half our congregation was special pioneers. Funny, they were the ones from up north and the big city but also the ones who held up integrating the Kingdom Hall. I don't think they were predjudiced, I think they really just enjoyed being such a big part of a very small congregation.

Back before I ever went in, when I was just being nice to them for my parent's sake, the pioneers (young girls from Iowa and Miami) serving where the need was great in backwoods Alabama, used to love to hang around my house. I think it was because my wife didn't work back then, was always sweet to everyone and would always have a lot of great leftovers to share with anyone who wanted any. Sweet as my wife was (and is) the girls would get on her nerves sometimes, they had the nerve to tell her she shouldn't celebrate our kids birthdays but then would sit down and eat all the leftover cake! They wouldn't give Christmas presents but would accept them while acting reluctant. They lived with my cousin and his wife, and then when they stopped attending, they shunned them. If these people ever remember how they behaved, I hope they cringe.
Happy Man, you have the strength of your own convictions and they will get you hanged in the narrow minded world in which you have chosen to live. Maybe that is why you visit with us. I'm glad you are here for whatever reason, I enjoy your posts and your sense of humor. Be careful about giving out too much information though, an apostate would never rat you out, but one of the Other Sheep will in a heart beat. I saw poor old Gred Stafford hounded off the board by another Witness poster who was threatening him with exposure. -

Bowen gives WBTS another Dilemma
by Nanoprobe ini think bill bowen has given the watchtower another dilemma.. has anyone had a chance to read bills letter to the draffenville body of elders?.
there isnt a link to the page but its: http://www.silentlambs.com latest info, bowen letter judicial committee 5-20-02. youll enjoy the entire letter but below is an excerpt:.
a second area that gives greater cause for concern are the other comments that appear to be malicious and slanderous in their context, i offer you the following:.

The good thing is the truth will out. These liars talk too much and will be caught in the web of lies they have told. It is hard to keep all the strands apart when you have so many different ones. I guess the thing that makes me angriest in this is the way they treated Barbara and the Pandelos (sp?) they backed off of Bill until the heat goes down but they rushed the others through and if I understood things correctly rejected the first judgement on Barbara and had them redo it and convict her. All of this while claiming it was the "local" elders doing it. What a crock. Their consciences are all scar tissue by now I am sure, and was probably underdeveloped in the first place. Their arrogance and the arrogance of the Catholic priests as mentioned by Nanoprobe, is identical. I read that they referred to the abused people that came forth as "squealers" and that is probably the way the WT feels about people like Erica. The good thing is that most Witnesses now have access to the net and despite what they claim most visit apostate sites sometimes. Anytime you read at a witness site they frequently mention things said at sites like this. They are not stupid, just trying to be blind, and they can see despite that effort. With time, maybe even during "This Generation" they will fall back into the level of the snake handlers and such and then disappear. I hope I am still around so I can give a great "Yawp" of joy and go to the old WT buildings now being used for whatever and do the batdance on the doorsteps. Now that would be a pleasure.

Hi Englishman,
On your behalf I watched the game, tuned it in by accident, and I don't want to hurt your feelings, but man the NBA basketball game later was so much more exciting. I know some of it has to do with knowing what is going on, (the little yellow tickets and the ref going over and just fussing at them as a penalty it seemed) but basketball has it going and coming. Have you watched any of the NBA finals? The game between the Lakers and the Kings went into overtime, pretty good stuff. The Kings did about what England seemed to do, just couldn't put the ball in. Sorry, I did root for England and I enjoyed the British singing God Save the Queen and all. At least now I can say I have watched a game.Grunt
P.S. Next, I want to see a scrum in rugby (sp?)
Happyman,
Your team won because Miller screwed up. Not much of a score. When do you play Argentina??? -

I love it. I hope Bill winds up farming out at Patterson with a town home at Bethel. I read the trial record of the one they had in England where old Freddy boy was on the stand and made a fool of himself, saying that even if the Society was wrong the people should go along with it. I'd love to Junior and senile old turds that have hurt so many people dragged into the spotlight and shown off for what they are. I would love to see them give Old Jarwhatever some ballbearings to play with just before his testimony ala the Caine Mutiny.
The more exposure the better. Touch their money and you have dishonored their god. I'd like to grab it by the handful and stick it in their lying mouths then force them to chew and swallow.

He Loves Me After All!
by COMF inthis is a story about the heart-pounding rollercoaster ride of buying a house and how i saw the proof that god really does love me.. some of you, especially newer ones, probably don't know that when i left the organization in 1987, i left still believing that the organization was the true religion, which meant, since i couldn't stay in it and keep my sanity, that jehovah didn't want me.
after 12 years of trying as sincerely as is possible to get his help with what was wrong, i gave up and quit, and literally prayed to jehovah saying, "it's obvious that you don't intend to help me; therefore i can only assume you don't want me.
fine; have it your way.

Wow Comf! With a house that nice you're gonna have to act respectable!!! It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. From cleaning windows to this, man, whodathunkit? I know your son is proud too and I wish you many cookouts in the back YARD with family and friends. I'd love to come over and grill you a few baby backs myself. Beneath this inverted bowl we call a sky, perhaps because you know the bird of time is on the wing, you have accomplished much. May your joy equal your possessions.
A friend,
