It's hard not to be condescending, Flyinghigh. It's a bad trait, I know - but there is so much hatred towards religion after leaving the dubs. I know it's not an excuse, but it's a small reason. I don't hate religious people - really. But these forums, you tend to say what's really on your mind, because the person is not right in your face. It causes lots of hard feelings.

I'm sure everyone can agree with that.

any of you that know me also know i was df'ed because an elder had an outcome in mind, and that was to keep me quiet about a pedophile in the congregation.

he was partly able to do that by using a sister (friend of mine and also another elder's daughter, who was on my jc)by getting her to incorrectly quote me as slandering the pedo's ms brother to her.

this has been repeated over and over in the news but what the hell no one will do anything about these assholes...so one more time....its the speculators, the investors who ....."institutional investors such as hedge funds and sovereign wealth funds are pouring billions of dollars into not just oil but mamy commodities, distorting markets and driving prices to unprecedented levels.."...and chinese influence???

while that is a factor, it's only part of the story, said mr. masters, a portfolio manager for masters capital management llc.

he cited u. s. government data showing that while annual chinese demand for petroleum increased 920 million barrels over the past five years, demand from speculators has moved up 848 million barrels over the same period.

It's a combination of poor policy and speculation.

Had the oil companies fully understood how the prices were going to jump ten years ago, it would have been a different story today. They would have been making a lot more money now with increased oil production and reduced oil prices, rather than higher oil prices and reduced oil production.

There is not a huge conspiracy theory, here, IMO. The U.S. is not the only place that has oil, as I'm sure everyone realizes. Oil companies are international, and they would have planned to drill other than the U.S. if they're policies were not up to snuff.

You can't just snap your fingers and have instant gas at the pumps. This is only a new phenomenon in the oil and gas world. Construction and exploration takes years.
