Gawd, not this crap again.
While you're at it why don't you reveal the true identity of the tooth fairy.
ridicule of the watchtower shift on "king of the north" is appropriate.
why didn't they hang in there with russia?
i've heard every conceivable speculation about the new improved king of the north.

Yawn......
Those who choose security over freedom will end up with neither.
when scientists seek truth, they rely on a time-tested and proven method for determining the accuracy of their theories.
basically, the scientific method consists of observing, theorizing, predicting, and testing.
in other words, if an idea is true, it will logically lead to certain results under certain conditions.
As stated, your premise is faulty. Thus, everything after is subject to that faulty premise. Using an Appeal to Authority argument, the bible, negates the entire process. There is an assumption, a wrong one, that the Bible is an authority on future events. Also, the 14th century was by far the worst time in recorded human history. Despite our own problems and stress we are living during a safer and healthier time now more than ever before. Perhaps they can wait until another generation passes.

i was doing a little painting at the back of my house and i heard car doors slam.
i peeked around the corner and there the elders were again.. ken p.
They don't need to call. They are your Elders and you should show them the proper respect.
we all go through times of stress and sad times.
what is a simple, yet profound saying that you have reminded yourself of to make these troubling times easier?
you don't have to believe in a literal god, just that there are higher thoughts within us that we all are able to draw from.. the one that has worked the best for me is: .
God helps those who help themselves.
Well not really. I like: Do as you will, harm none.
this is the short argument against the watchtower interpretation of babylon the great.

In other words the past = the future. Perhaps, usually. But NOT necessarily
You are somewhat correct. Here's an analogy for you. If I prophesy 2,000 years ago that, "This generation will not pass without seeing giant pink unicorns encircling the Earth." Well, 2,000 years pass and not a single unicorn is seen you can pretty much figure I was full of shit. Well take that and apply it to the Bible. There are enough trends of failure in the Bible to say that the probability is very high that failure will continue. Since it is the Bible that makes such bold claims it is up to the Bible/believer to provide evidence for the claims. In 2,000 years there has been no evidence from anywhere to show that the Bible is anywhere being prophetic much less accurate. In fact, the works of Homer are more accurate to time and location. However, he never made the claim that his stories were non-fiction and neither has anyone after him.

you buy a new tom-clancy type game for your xbox / ps2 / pc and rush home to play it.
you guide your soldier through the enemy terrain and discover an enemy outpost ... which then surrenders.
Sounds like a game polititians would make. I can tell you that the average soldier knows full well how to fight but those old wind bags in the White House seem to live in fantasy land. Have you tried the new Rainbow 6 game? I'm too lazy to look for reviews.

Here is my Since and Therefore. Since the Bible has never had a single prophesy come true, I can therefore deduce that any prophesy contained within its pages, either written or implied, is categorically false. In fact, Nastodamus can be considered a true prophet as some of his prophecies have actually come to pass. I chalk this up to him having excellent skill in the art of generalization.
And the Democrats wonder why they can't get anyone elected. That is pretty funny. However, it doesn't stir up confidence that Bush will be a one term president. With competition like that who needs enemies.

Let me start by saying I think the whole story is a myth. Although, it was common for the Romans to use torture stakes (ala WTS) they attached cross beams to them (Doh!). The Romans did call them torture stakes not crosses but the physical representation still looks like a cross. Thus, it's semantics.
