  30 minute talk = guilt tactic?

  this has probably been talked about but my wife went to this morning's meeting and she usually comes home after the talk.. she isn't home and it hit me that it's way harder to leave after only 30 minutes.. ahhh, shaming the flock into staying for the wt.

  OK, I will use a counter-guilt tactic. If you are only going for the public talk, and it's only half an hour, why waste the gas and prep time getting ready, driving to the Kingdumb Hell, and sitting there for only a half hour? Better to just skip the whole thing.

  My wife and I used to leave after the talk to go grab a early lunch at a popular Mexican resturant. As soon as the intermission song
  began ... we were already out the door. Those were great days!

  is it just me or did breaks seem unusally long - well, at least in the groups i worked in.. we'd do 45 minutes of door-knocking (lots of "not at homes") and take an hour break ... sometimes longer!

  other times we'd just drive around trying to find the street we are supposed to work.

  i knew a few like that , the worst one was local congregation paedophile that had so much to say about others , when i look back now at some of the things he used to judge people for , what a damn cheek he had considering the things he had done that hadnt come out at that point in time.
