  why the ransom?.

  when you think of all those suffering today and throughout the generations, and all this happened just because two inexperienced people went up against a powerful spirit creature and lost.!.

  now, if someone is in jail, lets say for something like stealing, someone can perhaps pay for their release on bail.

  Why should God require people to repent over something they had no control over?
  If now mankind is deserving of death through sin, how can someone else pay it?

  Why does Mcdonalds buy land in the desert? Do you know? They do....and their right.
  My point is this...much of the questions we ask on this board about Gods justice, is based on a human point of view with limited knowledge. The bible has shown time and again the wisdom of it's word that appeared foolish in times past.

  Why would God ask us to repent? If he said it like this....."you are bad! You shouldn't do what you do! Say your sorry you bad person!
  If he said it like this I would be a little ticked.

  However....does he? Doesn't he know we are weak, and hasn't he admitted it?

  Hasn't he had the bible writers explain how he would deliver us FREELY?

  If that is his way, and not our way, does it make his way wrong?

  i am not trying to be sarcastic.

  however, it just doesn't make sense to me.

  if a christian is one who "follows christ" how does that apply to the jw's?

  You will not recieve this Free Gift ....unless you what? Did you say unless you are in Gods favor by being obedient to what THEY teach as his word? Who is they? Men?

  Is this what the bible teaches? Be obedient to what an organisation feels is truth?

  How long do you have to be obedient to get this Gift? Untill you die, or at the end of the thousand years?

  The bible teaches the gift could be given upon faith in Christ not thru obedience... although obedience would be a byproduct of faith.

  They HAD this Free Gift already in Jesus day even though they knew they would sin in the future. The gift was given upon belief. Read all of Romans and see if the witness doctrine of the Free Gift is even close.

  The witnesess have twisted the meaning of what the FREE GIFT is.
  May I ask where this idea is found in the scriptures?

  lord,.

  don't let me die until i see them crash and burn!

  if i die tomorrow my kids will be ok, they've got a great dad.. if i die tomorrow, my parents will still have each other.. if i die tomorrow, my siblings will still have each other.. but oh lord puh-leeze keep me on earth until they are defeated.

  the following video was buzzing around bethel last week, it is also on their media website, there is also an awake article prepared to counter the fallout of the dateline program.

  it appears that the borg are not prepared to take this without a fight.. however when people get to see the facts, not the spin, the fan will truly be hit my something not very nice.

  Ozmeister:...Their imperfections and sinfulness don't mean that the organisation is wrong. What does show it's wrong is the underlying doctrines and, because of them, we see the results.

  BB "Salvation hinges on the ressurection of Jesus but worship goes to God , in their teaching.

  According to them salvation is based on OBEIDIENCE,WORKS.
  Gods FREE GIFT is not taught by them. Only if you are good enough can you have salvation and you must wait till the 1000 years have ended and you are tested again by satan to find out if you will make it.

  The only ones who can be aquitted of their sins according to them are the 8,ooo or more annointed ones who are now left. The rest of mankind cannot get in on this deal.

  I can't help but believe that a little bit of why we want to see a crash and burn scenario with the Borg is for a little SELF VINDICATION.
  We can say, "see....I told you I was right! Now how do you feel"?

  The other reasons are many.

  JW's believe in Jesus but do not believe/understand what he taught.
  He taught ALL who would believe in him could have life.
  THEY believe being in the organisation will bring life, and all who aren't will die.

  HE taught that believing that he would lay down his life,then would raise on behalf of all who would believe,and that would be Gods grace to them ...to be forgiven of sins and have eternal life.This was the GOOD NEWS.
  
  They teach God will destroy all who are not Jehovah's Witnesess,then he will make a paradise earth where only Jehovah's witnesess will live in peace.This is THEIR Good News that they preach.

  Read in the bible and see if their teaching matches Jesus teaching.

  I thought that this was simply just a reasonably sized gathering of people who were once in the organisation and wanted to share their experience and converse with others with whom they had something in common.

  Yip! Thats exactly what this place is and that's why I love it here!

  Jesus died on a stake or a cross?

  this is something i've been puzzling over recently.

  just for argument's sake, let's say that jesus did exist - was he murdered on a stake or on a cross?

  this is puzzling me, because the only real research i've ever read on the subject was in wtbts publications, and since this is obviously a highly questionable source of documentation, i'd love it if someone here could point me to a scientific resource for finding out the truth about this...thx.... the earlier in the forenoon you take the sun bath, the greater will be the beneficial effect, because you get more of the ultra-violet rays, which are healing.

  The society has clearly stated that the method of execution is really not known, and it is the EVENT which really matters.

  They say this but yet they continue to support the stake idea in all of their drawings in the publications, and in there use of the word STAKE when it is discussed in the literature.

  See what would happen if a publisher used the word cross when speaking of Jesus death to another publisher.

  In actuality, it does not matter how he was crucified. What matters is an organisations insistance upon it's members to believe a certain way.
