Many examples in the Bible are given in which God steps in when we are at our lowest. He did in my case.

by flower inwell at 29 years old, after a lifelong relationship/belief in/association with a higher power i called god, here i am very close to taking an athiestic or agnostic approach to the rest of my life.
it really hit me the other day although my doubts have been there but i just have been forcing myself to ignore them because i was afraid to give up that religious part of me because its all that i have ever been and i was afraid of the unknown.
but i realized after getting through another one of those weeks from hell that it makes no difference how much i pray or how much i believe.

"I'm giving up on God because I pray to him for deliverance, to help me cope, to get a break..........and nothing ever happens!Since nothing happens, then maybe he dosen't exists, and I am tired of him not REVEALING himself to me in some way.
How do I know he is there for sure and if he is not........what a bunch of needless wasted time"What if we humans are basing our belief in God, on wether he meets the criteria of how we expect him to act? He dosen't act like we percieved the scriptures say's he should actin OUR BOOK.
Did Jesus mean when he said"I will never leave or forsake you to mean ....you won't suffer much anymore.
The apostle Paul when he was stoned and left for dead, ran out of many towns, imprisoned, beaten,.......must have wondered what was up himself.
My bottom line is.......are we understanding the Bible correctly in how we percieve God?
What of the millions of people who live christian lives who can tell of some remarkable things that have happened in there lives as they feel is a result of God.Are they wrong?. ...

Complete reversal: from Witness to atheist

) and i'm curious: how many have left the organization and, in time, become athiests.
i was raised in the organization, so growing up, my thinking was -- of course -- stifled.

One subject in particular that I can say I appreciated that I learned as a witness was Creation.(although OTHER churches teach on the subject also)
I remember many points about the wonder of life and the complexity of things, and that the odds of all this happening by chance was nill.
I STILL believe in our creator and wonder how many who learn of God ...through the bible....change to otherwise.
I will say I think it would be wise to make sure which way of your thinking is correct. Look into it good!

Who has sayings of everlasting life?
by Pepper indespite all the problems i have had with many people in the jehovah's witness's religion, i would not know the basic truths that i have learned if it were not for jehovah's witness's.. the hope that learned, i still have; though i no longer attend the meetings i miss the meetings, personal and family problems that really no one other than god him self can fully understand at that time so many years ago.. i know now that i have atemped in the past to haave the brothers and sisters to understand what i my self could not grasp about my problems that perplexed me beyond what i could deal with.. sense that time i have also learned that it really is jehovah that i should render my service to and no one else, it him i must fuloly rely on for aid compleatly not humans.. thanks, pepper

Hi Pepper. So glad you joined in and can share with the many stories of various ones at different stages in their life.
A quote you made was this...Basic truths to me have been knowing that God does have a name, so many religions see him as only Jesus only or refuse to call him by an accepted name at all apart from all others; really that is the first step to comuication with any relationship.
I found out what "basic truth" meant by reading in the bible what others had also found as to the meaning of the REAL TRUTH we must have according to the bible.
You really might enjoy reading of Randall Watters story on FREEMINDS.COM about how he, and many others at bethel, began their own private bible study on the book of Romans, that led to their departure from Bethel.

Whats the truth about 1914?
by Leander ini've heard on a few occasions from my research on the internet that 1914 really does not have the significance that wtbs assigns to it.
from my limited understanding on the matter it involves the wtbs moving the date of the destruction of jerusalem.. can someone give me a little more detail on this or provide a link with a website that does?.
if its true that the wts has manipulated historical dates and bible scriptures to support this date of 1914 then that would mean everything else crumbles.. thanks for any info on this

It is sown (buried) a PHYSICAL body; it is raised up (resurrected)... a SPIRIT body."
Look up in some good bible commentaries and see is this is THE WAY this scripture reads.
I have the understanding that the scripture should read..it is raised IN SPIRIT.......not a SPIRIT BODY!E-mail me and let me know what you find. Peace to you also although our CUSTOM here usually dosen't end in those words.

Jesus was raised in a physical body correct? (or do you still believe the dub way?)
If you believe he was raised in a PHYSICAL body....the fleshly body that was dead and was raised again (only glorified)......then my question is this...............at what point in his departure to heaven was he changed from flesh to spirit?
A scripture would help.
