Well I guess this shouldn't surprise us.

They have had the same songbook for how long now?

The same public talks for years and years

The same agenda for the Service Meeting and School

They operate like Multi-level marketing....."if it works, keep doing the same thing"

The reality is....dubs would LOVE a change.....any change. We loved it when a new release was given at an assembly. We loved it when new light was to be heard in an upcoming Watchtower.

what non-biblical, historical evidence proves or supports the notion that jesus once existed as a living, breathing jewish man?

i'll start with the one that i used to swear by back when i was a good jw.

It's just a new word for them about troublemakers.

The word they used to use was"some".

"Some were anxious that the end would come on a certain date and when it didn't, some were stumbled and complined".

I suppose they reveal their faults to address the REASON for it......such as "murmering" in this case. In other words....it's another reminder not to discuss any doubts you have with fellow publishers. They've had similar articles before....just worded it different this time.

I think that you will find that most historians do not doubt the crucifixion. For example the Encyclopedia Brittanica Micropaedia Vol. 3 p.762 states (with no qualifications): "in about AD 32 Pontius Pilate had Jesus of Nazareth put to death by crucifixion."

Does it also say he was resurrected, appeared again, then was taken up in the sky? Does it say he truely did miracles? Does it say that all his diciples that died are all in heaven with him now in their own "mansion"? Even if there was a man named jesus who was crucified, there was probably a joe and a harry that died the same way. Maybe he was just more popular and had more influence than joe and harry. *wonders why the hell he picked joe and harry* Gumcross

That wasn't understood in your initial post. Frankly I was shocked by your statement also and wonered what the hell was wrong with you....your gonna run someone over? I'm gonna change the subject and just come right out and say that my lazy ass would rather have sumthin with a motor. If it's like perfectly flat...I can do the bike thing....but none-a-that uphill crap. I could never find anyone who wanted to pick me up at the bottom of a hill.
