  So sorry to hear your friend is that down.....what is the matter with them?

  Talking of suicide is many times....a cry for help. Many who are serious do not discuss it...but not always. Take them serious and be a good shoulder. Wish you the best.....

  What is more convincing in your story is........your friend saw it too! Many stories come from ONE individual. When ANOTHER person sees the same thing.....then it is NOT drugs, hallucinations, or in the mind......it really makes me wonder.

  If there ARE ghosts or spirits.........does this add to anyones belief in God, or life after death?

  The Encyclopedia Canadiana observes: "The work of Jehovah's Witnesses is the revival and re-establishment of the primitive Christianity practised by Jesus and his disciples...All are brothers."

  All are brothers eh? Only JW's are brothers. Jesus taught all who believed in him were brothers. All other churches consider others "in christ" are brothers......not just THEIR denomination.

  What does this encyclopdia say about christians, Baptist, methodist, church, etc.

  Why don't you look it up and see if the encyclopdia only favors the dubs? Does it also say all other churches are doomed because they are false? Look up missionaries too. See if only the dubs have missionaries.

  You are CHERRYPICKING statements the borg has chosen to shed good light on them. Look up material on your OWN about the dubs and see how much favorable light is shed on them. Listen to the posters on this board.......do you think we are lying about what we know about the borg?

  Is there a better way than disfellowshipping?

  and can the wt learn from other churches?.

  the general conference of adventists held in toronto canada.

  no adventist will ever be disfellowshiped again.. voted to change the term "disfellowshiped" to 'remeoved from membership".

  And why don't they? They STILL live by the old law in many things. What changed from stoning someone to shunning them? Why the change? Did jesus change it? Why?

If a Christian congregation is doing a good enough job teaching and providing information to inform their member's consciences, than each one would be able to act appropriately towards the alleged wrongdoer."

  If the congregation provides info. "to inform it's members consciences" do you think anything would really change? Out of embarrasement from being seen hob-nobbing around with this "marked one" by other publishers.....nothing would change.....maybe a little.

  To inform one conscience or influence someones conscience.....is taking away the others conscience......to a degree anyway.

  I've always thought they could at least treat the wayward dubs as they would...."worldly people".

  That would help somewhat.

  amongst jaydubs.this was about the dog named "jehovah" by it's jw-hating owner.

  so that when he got visited by them once again,he could shout "jehovah,attack!"..

  Anyone remember the INCREASE in birds in the 60's?

  The thought was....armaggedon is close and thats why there has been an increase in birds since they will clean up Jehovah's big slaughter house.

  Actually...............None! I thought that was what the bibles....RANSOM was supposed to cover..............all sin excepted. Or did I miss something when I disected what it said? If the dubs are doomed...............so are we.

  local elder called tonite, with a witness on the phone to ask if it is true we were smoking ?

  we said yes, and we know who told on us.

  it was a ms who was at the club just last week with another woman, not his wife of course, while she was at the meeting.

  I need help with reporters

  i am trying to get several newspapers locally to do a story about the sex abuse scandal in the org, and the disconnect between what is going on and the rank and file's unwillingness to look at the facts.

  it is scary, and i cannot let my name be used.. i would appreciate help with documents that can verify what the wts' policy is and was, and what is happening to those who speak out.. please email me if you can help, i want to make it as detailed and verifiable as possible.. thanks.............. .
