Not quite sure if you mean B**L S**T or Bible Study, I did both .I found though that WT appreciation of Scripture was very immature and sometimes downright silly,so I used a lot of independant commentaries etc. which partly is what led me to JWD and my present fade.

That looks like the kind of article I was asking for I will check it out later,my point was that so often people (esp.journalists !) make claims with no refs. and therefore how can we check their interpretation? I love Ben Goldacre's column in The Guardian (a UK national paper sister to the Observer) which is entitled "Bad Science" and he shows how often opinions based on dodgy or no research are quoted as fact.

"Yes there is much evidence" SAYS Quandry, but I like the earlier point,when do we ever get proper refs. to scientific papers that have at least been peer reviewed? saying" there is much evidence" is like saying "Bible Chronology proves......" Give us proper refs. and not just to some man's opinion.Some in the science community are very like the WTS in their methods. Love Wobble

i read it in wiki.. the best i can make out is that these are the reasons:.
"patterned after the capstone of the great pyramid of egypt, symbolic of the christ".

Russells' pyramidology is another example of his plagiarising others ideas,this time a completely looney tune idea,how could an edifice like a pyramid (pagan) have anything to do with bible prophecy?
What is laughable is his calling on that old fraud Professor Piazzi-Smythe as an authority to back up his wild theory.Piazzi-Smythe styled himself as Astronomer Royal for Scotland,there never was such an office.
Even so Piazzi-Smythe in his letter ,which Russell includes in Studies in the Scriptures in full, is very circumspect,more or less saying "I find your theory interesting" rather than endorsing it.
Interesting to observe Russells use of a familiar technique,early on HE calls the great Pyramid "the Bible in Stone" then later he says many times ,often called "the Bible in Stone" as though other (unamed) authorities used this expression.
Of course we must remember this was Jehovah.s Spirit Directed Org or FDS which was coming up with this crock of sh**e !

we have had six thousand years or so of satans rule.and yea he has cocked up big time,but what have we got to compare it with?
we are supposed to choose jehovah's way but we have only "seen" a bit of that in the garden of eden and that didn't go too well,so how do we compare???.

But what I was trying to get at was the Dub way of explaining why evil has gone on for so long is so we have a comparison,a choice,but when have we seen Jehovah's rule in action so as to compare or choose?
