Lord, to whom would we go away to? ... Who is your mediator?

i am writing up some things, thinking about making some brochures to distribute to jws.

here is one of the first, as this question is what broke me free.

i am playing with the idea of putting the scriptures and watchtower quotes on one page tracts or even billboards, anyway, here you have it:.

Dear Shades, to be effective as a tool for making JW's question their beliefs, any brochure/tract would need to be very short and succinct. JW's do not read large blocks of text, and have difficulty following an argument. They are too lazy to look up quoted scriptures.

A quote from their own WT publications showing that they (the WT) do not believe Jesus is mediator for the "Great Crowd of Other Sheep" (from the article in "Insight..." fer example) folowed by a scripture from Timothy say, to show that Christ is mediator for all men, then your question "Who is YOUR mediator ?" should be just enough, any more than that and they will simply toss it as "Apostate material" because it has a lot of text.

Just add a link to JWFacts.com and the relevant article therein.

I said "Doesn't that tell you something?" but of course it didn't, she starts from the premise that she has the truth (as supplied currently by the WT, it may change next week of course), so everybody else is wrong.

What "Law" on blood is that ? As for me and my reading of the Bible. I can see nothing that would prevent a Christian from accepting a blood transfusion.

You have begun to see the problem with the WT's faulty and murderous doctrine. The acceptable use of blood in the Bible, consistently is to save life, especially the blood of Jesus, which you do not have to bother to tranfuse ,but you should certainly drink, if you wish to have life.

i've taken a look at what the watch tower society has implied regarding its building plans in upstate new york and compared that with the governing body's beliefs regarding when the end will be.. when does the governing body believe the end will be?.

The Old Farts Club that is the GB probably feel like I did when I was in, well the Big A may come in my lifetime, but so what, it won't affect me that much.

That is if they believe in it at all.

I think to a degree the GB are figure heads, behind them pulling the strings are the real holders of power in the Borg and they certainly do not believe in Armageddon at all, they just believe in keeping the whole scam going, which means keeping 7 million people on a treadmill of activity whilst they are bled dry of their funds.

After all, we all know that the WT will declare that the big A happened invisibly in 2014, hence the party. Oct 5/6th I believe.

How did plants survive the Flood?

noah is not said to have carried plants in his ark.

supposedly the flood was severe enough to cover "even the tallest mountains", which would mean that mount everest was covered.

Taking the Bible stories literally to any extent is a relatively new phenomenon (late 19th century). The Jews of Jesus' day, and presumably Jesus himself,did not use that kind of exegesis.

So, presumably, when Jesus spoke of Noah and the Flood, he was not thinking of a literal global flood, so it behooves later readers of his words to not try and fit a silly theory into what he said, it makes Jesus look silly.

The oldest living thing on the Planet is a plant that lives in a part of Tasmania, called Kings Holly, if I recall, it is 43,000 years old, and salt water covering it for even a few weeks would kill it.

The WT has now, and never has had, any idea of how to read and understand the Bible, we who have left need not stay in the same gloom.
