I've always viewed religion or organized religion as sort of a container for faith. Faith is a wild belief in anything without any proof. Religion, acting as a container, gives the faith shape and direction by providing explanations or "proof", whether true or false.

Future = Will we find "religion" on other planets! Will it survive on earth
by Witness 007 inif an alien visited earth in the 1600's he would find a culture deeply rooted in religion with little scientific knowledge.
if we travelled to other planets in 2080 will we find jehoovers witnesses??
or some other form of religion...or will they be scientific and logical....will we still be religious in 1,000 years due to scientific breakthroughs in the last 100 years?

True Weird JW Stories!
by new boy ini have two true strange stories.. the first story is of this guy (lets call him bob) that comes to the portland oregon exjw "meet up group.".
the strange thing about bob is he has never been a jw...or ever wanted to be.
so why does he come to the meetings?.

Why I don't want to associate with pioneers
by JimmyPage insometimes i get flak for not having more "spiritual" associates.
the reason i don't really care for pioneers is that whatever interests or hobbies they have get replaced by the whole pioneering thing.
they become less like normal people and become more a clone of what a good dub "should" be.

The two most annoying JWs I ever known are: 1. esther lee from uptown Harrisburg, PA After her hubby was reinstated she thought she was the stuff. This woman was haughty and gossiped about everyone. Even ones she barely knew. If theres 18 paragraphs in the WT study, she comments on 16, sings the loudest ( and she can't sing). Brown-noses the elders and the C.O. when he visits. This lady is a red head who may have been a major babe 20 or so years ago. Even tho she was so annoying, I used to think about banging her all the time. She was HOT for a 40-something year old.
2. Celina Lewis, My X wifes daughter. Even if she was'nt a JW she'd still be annoying. Shes the type that does'nt have much to think about so she creates drama in others lives. This broad is a chronic brown-noser also.
Elders wives were always annoying.

PREACHING....................Boy! Didn't we look stupid
by nomoreguilt inlooking back over the posts of the last few weeks by some, i really am embarrased over the amount of time i spent going door to door.
we all imagined and then knew what the house holder must have been saying about us.

Looking for a dating site in particular
by AntiKrist ini've noticed that most of all dating sites have their search page filled with boxes and that's it.
there's no way for one to actually make a text based search; typing in "apostate" for instance in a text box and thus search for that word in the profile database or am i wrong?
do you know of any dating site that has this feature?

Ok, this is a little odd for me...just need a little advice
by A-Team in...there is a young lady at my workplace, who is a jw, and is sending the obvious signs that she at least has interest in me...even know that i will be a minister 'of the devil's church', as jws call it, as of june.
i'm not going to lie, i think she's cute, and if she wants to talk, i would do it.
one of my major questions is this: if i am not a jw, why would she have any intrest in a person that is apart of 'satan's system'?

I'd say if shes into you, not trying to convert you, go for it. JW women have a rep for being disease free. Ask her on a date. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Is Customer Service/Common Courtesy a dinosaur ?
by AK - Jeff ini have lamented for a long while about the lack of customer care in our area.
fast food restaurants have taken the fast food out it while the price keeps moving up.
service stations no longer exist - replaced by self fuel bays in front of a so called 'convenience store' - and typically manned by a grumpy cashier.

I remember back when I had to work at McDonalds. I was paid $7 per hour. On top of that, if business was slow they would tell you to leave early. I lived paycheck to 4 days until payday. All I could afford to rent was a room, not an apartment, just a room. and food for a week or so. And of course a case of beer.
My point is this - My attitude was if they could'nt pay me even half decently to get me to be where I needed to be. Like enough to rent an apartment instead of just a room, then they would get inferior work from me. I was NOT going to bust my nuts working hard for the measly little bit of pay they let go of.
Inferior pay = inferior service.
Great pay = great service.
