  my elder buddy and i would frequent strip clubs when we wanted to.. a few friends knew i enjoyed clubbing and music concerts and i seldom ever spoke of my private social life to others.. i know many jws, including elders, that drank excessively but that wasn't considered too big a deal..

  What exactly is a relasionship with God?

  growing up and jw and being around them all my life i constantly heard the expression "a relasionship with god".

  this always confused me, because how do you have a relasionship with someone that doesn't talk back to you after praying?

  this was always rationalized as god talks back to you when you read the bible.

  I had to deal with this issuse at a very young age. When I was 12 (I was already baptized) I started to realize that I didn't feel the love that the bible describes that we should feel toward Jehovah. I told my mom that I wanted to get out of The School of Minisrty 'cause I didn't want to be a hypocrite. She just flat out told me I HAD to be in it. I've NEVER felt any love toward Jehovah.

  I agree with you guys about how it's stupid to force someone to be a gender that they feel they're not. How is it their fault? I was traumatized by how narrowminded and judgemental JW are. I'm trying to teach my daughter to accept people by who they are and not judge them by their looks or sextual orientation. We are currently on the subject of homosextuality, transextuals, bisextual... you guys get it? Luna

  in my congregation i could name at least 10 brothers, and likely more, who just couldnt wait for armageddon to come.

  the way they spoke about it clearly showed that they were just so excited.

  you could just see their eyes light up at the prospect of the wicked being destroyed and removed from this earth.

  My mother told me to come back to the "truth" for the sake of my girls. She said: "Do you want them to be destroyed in A?" I told her that I didn't believe that that was going to happen, and that I didn't want to serve a god who blackmailed people into serving him or killed inoccent children!

  my mother used to make me turn sesame street off when "the count" came on because count dracula was a real person who was under satan's influence and drank blood.. what completely whacked out rules did your parents make for you growing up?.

  No unicorns, they are demonic. I used to love unicorns when I was a little girl. My Mom was completely against them. She even went as far as to cut the horn off of a my little pony. Luna

  Live celebate!? Really? Wow! If a person truly feels like they were born the wrong gender, who are we to say to them that they are wrong? So, they would have to be celebate because any relationship they would have would be "homosextual"? Stupid, narrow minded people! Doesn't the bible teach us not to judge?
