Rocky: The concept is found in the KJV as well. It's not just a JW concept. Jesus endorsed it, as do most fundamentalist nuts.
Psalms 14:1 "The fool has said in his heart: There is no god." (But the wise man says it out loud. )
Mattew 5:22 "But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."
See?

by DoomVoyager inboth are trinitarian verses.. .

" nwt: "because it is in him that all the fullness of the divine quality dwells bodily".

Ok, interesting. Thanks. I found another thing in Colossions.
Colossians 1:16,17.
KJV: " For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."
NWT: "16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist, "
The word "other" is inserted 4 times, again in order to support a non-trinitarian doctrine.
Didn't they ever read Revelation? " If anyone makes an addition to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll;"

Both are trinitarian verses.
Colossions 2:9, KJV: "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily ." NWT: " because it is in him that all the fullness of the divine quality dwells bodily"
NWT has changed the word "godhead" to "divine quality".
1 John 5:7,8 KJV: "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one." NWT: " For there are three witness bearers, 8 the spirit and the water and the blood, and the three are in agreement."
NWT has omitted an extremely significant phrase from verse 7.
Are there any sound scholastic reasons for these omissions, or were they done just to fit in with bOrganizational doctrine?

I remember the brothers and sisters being so loving
I remember getting Old Dutch Salt & Vinegar chips at lunch time. And hot dogs and orange juice. That's the only thing I can remember. A lot of good all that time did for me.

is it true that jws teach it is ok to lie and conceal from a new study?
by looloo ini remember after i had been inviting in a couple of ladys to chat a few times (but i was not a study at this point) i asked outright if me and my kids would be destroyed at armageddon , and one of them replied "yes you will if you are not a jw " i was terrified , i rang my dad and he said to tell them to piss off nxt time they come because they are a cult , how i wish i had listened , but i started a study , and i remeber an elder telling me that the other lady that used to call on me cringed when her friend said to me outright that yes you will be destroyed, and had wished she had put it differently (lied perhaps ) this elder told me that when you study you may not like everthing you learn but its like being given a meal , just because you dont like something on your plate dosnt mean you cant eat the rest of the meal !!!!!
is it in their literature to lie to studys ?
i know that a lot of jws have said they havnt heard about the michael porter and local child molester scandal when people have mentioned it on the ministery, there is no way that can be true considering the coverage it got , do you think it is announced at the hall to pretend they know nothing so they dont have to discuss it ?

No, they definitely don't announce that at the hall. The simple fact is that most dubs HAVEN'T heard about these scandals (I'm not sure which one you mean by "local child molester" though) They don't pay much attention to the news or current events - they're happy to suck up all the crap the Gubberning Body feeds them, but that's it.

heh, that's a good one. And yeah, the bible does actually say that. What kind of mentality is that? "You don't believe in my invisible friend, so I'm going to call you names."

The 91-page report states: “One possible example of this type of detriment or harm is the refusal to allow medical treatment, or the taking of medicines, on religious grounds.”
I don't know, I think that pretty clearly applies. I mean, where else would it apply to if not the Witnesses? The whole point of the field circus is to convert people to their opinion on matters, including blood, right?
Anyways, thanks for the heads - up.

And when Billy the Bonus Bethelite comes back at you with some "meat" you tuck tail and run.
What? I was AGREEING with him about the beards thing. The rest of your posts contain nothing but moral platitudes that are easy enough to dispense from your disattached perspective and/or entirely false presumptions about my position, so I'll have no more of those if you don't mind.
