Are we beating a dead horse?
by Gregor inthe wtb&ts has already shown clear signs of defeat which have been pointed out here very thoroughly.
those who cling to it have their own motivations, most of which are based in either self delusion, ignorance or plain old fear of shunning.
the majority of people in mainstream culture who even recognize the name, jehovah's witnesses, associate them with an annoying fundamentalist group who knock on your door to push their pamphlets.

Why would you want to serve Jehovah?
by Anti-Christ infor all of you you believe in the watchtower doctrine i have a few honest and important (in my opinion) question you should ask yourselves.. why serve a god like jehovah?
you may find that question to be out of your comfort zone but i think it's important to examine the wt vision of the god you accept as real.
what does jehovah expects from you?

and thus becoming god myself but I think there is a way and that is if he does actually do what he promises which is ....(depending on what you believe)....take us to heaven! or provide us with everlasting life on earth! those would be fairly impossible to argue with happenings but unfortunately we are living in the catch22 situation of being told that to access these "Rewards" we have to believe first :s

If a powerful being would present itself to me as being god I would question and ask for very strong proof of this.
I agree with you there and but if we believe the bible he did give them cause and proof of this in biblical times, but this is all 2000 years later so now an understandable question of "what have you done for me lately" could be asked.
So if God did provide irrefutable evidence, something in the style of a miraculous event that the whole world would have to sit up and acknowledge does he then have the right to ask obedience and worship of us? If for the sake of argument we assume the bible is completely accurate would we still rebel because we want to walk our own roads without being restricted by rules from a supreme being?
I still struggle with these questions myself lol

As the Scribes and Pharisees, Jehovah's Witnesses are spiritually dead.
by Word inwill they remain dead or will they experience a collective spiritual resurrection, due to the fact that they sometimes hear jesus words, that again can resurrect the spiritually dead?

it depends what qualifies you to be spiritually alive?

You have a point but i actually ment it as a genuine question, you say "why serve a God like jehovah?" then you cite biblical examples of him which left me wondering if you were questioning the Bible-Gods ethics as apposed to the Jw doctrines based on the bible?

For me i find it's very much like the "tickle your ears" scrioture as apposed to a sinking ship, theres a lot of ad hominem arguments directed at the people and organisation that make it frustrating at times but as all forums are opinioned based it's only to be expected.

Another non biblical practice by Jehovah's witnesses
by excito-are inmatthew 10.8 speaks about the preaching work and states " you received free, give free".
the society no longer charges for the magazines, but should witnesses still accept contributions from householders?
does this not conflict with the bible?

lol i'll have to remember this when I go into York Minster, which charges about £26 per head to view the whole building besides the gift shop with lots of religious books all healthful for me apparently and £4.99 upwards. Jw's are still unusual in not charging for their religious literature as religions go,

there are many ex-elders on this site who you can ask about why they would have someone continue waiting. I don't think its as simplistic as the above poster would have us believe.

Are you attacking the bible or Jw's here because from what you say it's unclear?

Watchtower deception regarding the TRINITY
by jwfacts ini have finally finished an article outlining the deceptive way in which the watchtower presents its anti-trinitarian information.
any constructive criticism such as regarding errors that may have crept in is welcome.
since i cannot embed a page i hope entering the html code works, otherwise it can be read at http://jwfacts.com/index_files/trinity.htm.

also you put this discussion is on trinity but include there use of jehovahs name, technically they just copied kingjames official bible which was one of first to put jehovahs name back after jews removed it.
Is something right because at some time in the past men decided a name shouldn't be spoken? i guess we are lucky christians didn't decide jesus's name was to sacred to say ^^ or we might be having scripture saying 'lord says to lord i am your lord and my name is lord and you should love lord your lord with your whole lord.
sometimes is isn't just a matter of over analising but also of common sense on what to believe.
