Iam just wondering if JW's believe they are practicing their religion as Christians of 2000 years ago. Would the early Christians still follow some of the Jewish traditions such as Passover and other Religous Holidays? Jesus did die a Jew ?

That makes me feel better about being poor and no job but always searching for love and to be loved. Seems like in CT where I live money is important big house etc. I guess as a male I feel as though women are looking for a mate who will support the babies etc. It always nice to think of more important things like love!

I helped someone leave the JWs...
by Jim_TX inhere is s story that i can tell i had forgotten about this experience until recently, when i was remembering folks that i once knew who were jws.. we have to go into the waaay-back machine the year was about 1986 or 1987. my wife was/is a jw me i had drifted long before and was just trying to keep a low-profile.. i worked for a company and had been there for about 8 years, when the section i was in was beginning to expand.
they brought in one lady who was working the parts section, and would check in and out parts to the engineers and or technicians as needed.
it looked like this new gal after a while was swamped with work, and they still needed another person to help out.. my wife knew this woman and i had met her too who was a jw.

To soon to hope?
by Wendy_Warden inso yeah--i've been riding the same train of i'm-in-love-with-a-jw for about two years now.
i've said in previous posts (posted a long time ago) that he wanted me to convert.
he never said so out right but his habit of linking our conversations to the wt convinced me that it was important to him.. well, i tried to let everything drop for a long time and didn't really keep in contact.

I have a hard time understanding why JWs do not question the teaching of the WT. Do they find it comforting that they will not suffer in paradise? It seems like many people on JWD who were brought up JW have managed to stay out how do you do this? Do you ever feel you need to go back? I guess I should read Hassons Book for more information.

Forbidden Love?
by ZeroZen ini like a woman who is a jw and im not; i know she has the same feelings for me as i do for her.
i would say im spiritual but not religious i would not take the bible word as literal truth like jw do.
do we have any chance of a relationship together?

She seems "normal" enough but I still think I would have a hard time talking about religion with her, it is just not a natural thing for me. I would think if her religion is a part of her everyday life things would not work out for us. What if she is just a part of the religion to please her parents? Would there be any hope for helping her out? If I showed her the CC book could this cause her to run and maybe make things worse. I also know p sychologically for alot of women if their fathers are controling they look for a controlling mate. I do not think Im a very controling personality and would rather have a women who is more assertive.

I dont think I would pursue a relationship with her it sounds to complex. If she still seems interested I might just ask her if she wants to get a coffee or something casual just to pick her brain on a few things.
