Did you find worldly people as bad as the JW's made them out to be??

as a jw we were always told worldly people were bad always out for what they could get out of you.

as for me iv'e made some good friends not anything as bad as the jw's said they woul'd be.

"Worldy People", what a label. I have found that JW's are a self centered group that focus "ONLY" on themselves and the Borg. I and my children are treated better by real family and freinds toher than the JW's than the JW's themselves. My 7 year stint in the mind controlled cult proved it.

There are good and bad qualities in everyone and I find "more good" than "bad". A complete oposite of what the JW's want you to believe.

This religion is worthless.

Yes. I had it building in me for awhile then I just made my stand and did it.

What relationships at the hall? No one has tried contacting me since I left except one elder that I wouldn't speak spiritually with, had dinner and that was it. This right before the Memorial.

We had hardly prayed before meals anyway but it stopped immediately.

As for what she told them I dunno, don't care. As long as I am out that's all that counts.

time flies.....i have been considered apostate for at least two years now, and it seems my wife says she loves me all the time....almost makes me uncomfortable.

i have changed, not her, and i realize that.

D#mn! There are a lot of threads about this. I remember starting one a few months ago.

Yes, It does appear to go to h#ll in a hand basket for awhile and for some it explodes and deteriorates beyond repair, as you will find many other testimonials here on JWD.

Eventually we worked thru it. I accepted her going to the meetings and she accepted me not going. Now this is just short term. I will have to wait and see about long term. Time will tell. I've only been out for about 3 months or so.

Oompa, my wife tells me she loves me all the time. This has always been the case except for a couple of months ago when I told here where I stand with the JW's and their beliefs. As many of you here know this was a rocky time for about a month or so. I actually thought it was over.

She does just as others here, she puts up the JW barrier when I speak the facts about the religion. But, I am not going to force it on her. I agree to do it slowly. I don't want to push her buttons and step on toes. I think this would push her away and that's the furthest thing from my mind at this moment. I know each situation is unique and I do not know the circumstances of yours but I don't think I would get in a shouting match over the religion. I would give her her space.

My wife seems very happy and as long as she is happy I am happy. We still get along and do things together and she has even skipped a few meetings. She seems to have accepted that I am never going back. She has even asked me to attend a meeting with her and I refused and told her that we have had this discussion before.

You do your thing and let her do hers. That is what I have been doing.

i mean i use public restrooms...even gas station restrooms on occassions and they never smelled like the assembly bathrooms.

i thought that they were suppose to be clean people????.

in god s holy word the bible you can find evidence that god s kingdom was not established in 1914. and according to the prophecies it will be estblished later in the future.

in acts 1:7 the apostles asked " lord, are you restoring the kingdom to israel at this time?
