i am, my dad is doing it, i'm going to their hall theyve just moved there (to 'help' out).
i figured its the one meeting i can't miss as i upset them by not going to any others at all, also ive made a point of not going to my hall and i won't let anyone know i'm at my dads.
my dad is actually worried i might 'be apostate' about it, as i once said surely passing on the bread and wine is like saying 'no thanks jesus!
I'm with Dawg and childofgod, this was the irst year I have missed and haven't made a meeting in over a month.
I will never set foot in another KH the rest of my life.

i have recently left the wts and almost have my da letter ready to send.
my wife is still in and is higly upset by my stand.
she is afraid she'll lose her parents because they are still jw's and refuses to leave the wts, she still beleives it.
Quandry,
I am sorry for your loss. I do understand about the dangers of smoking. I have lost two close relatives due to smoking.
I haven't really started smoking but I have had one or two. The kids have been smoking secretly for several years and I just found out recently and the wife doesn't know.
As for taking control of my life, I am trying my best. It is difficult, believe me.

I'm all for it. I could have sex every day two or three times a day!

it happened last night guys.
i got early to the kh and the boe came to talk to me.
they ask me to read the bible and asked me a couple of questions.
Ootb,
I think yer F'd up!
To be part of something you definitely "do" not believe in is as hypocritical as the WTBS itself.
What were ya smoking? Er, drinking, whatever .

there is simply no proper or honorable way to leave the cult.
period.
to leave is to fail, to die, to be defeated by evil.
IMO, they are a cult. My research, and everyone elses, has pointed it out. They are on the top 5 cults to watch at www.cultwatch.com .
Just do your research. I should have before I was doctrinated.

The "main" thing that bothers me here is her choice to turn me in to the elders for "my" choice to celebrate the holidays with my side of the family. It "is" her duty to do so. This will be a DF'ing offense and I am sure it will ripple the relationship of her parents and freinds.
They live very close and are usually always around, except for the last month, since I quit attending the meetings.
What is your input regarding this?

i wondered if anyone, after starting to post here after so long being worried about doing, now just does it because they acn and hasn't stopped to ask why the still feel the need or even pleasure.. so why do you come here?.
do you know?.
it's not easy to completely explain what it is substiruting for imo!.
Ventilation and Support mostly. But, I also like to see others views on matters with the JW/WTBS. It provides a better understanding of the doctrine as well as the hurdles one must make after one has been exposed to it. Especially for those who have or who are looking to exit.
It is good to know I am not alone.

Daniel-p,
How did this affect your spouses parents, family or freinds still in the WTBS. Like I said earlier she has her parents that are still JW's that she is very close to.
Thanks,

I'm just tired of having this battle about every two weeks, which after our first argument about this, I stated "That if you accept my decision to do this I do not want to have this same argument every two weeks, month, etc.. She said she was clear about it.
Just when I think all is fine and she is going to accept my decision to fade she get's in an uncontrollable emotional tangent and it makes things difficult to deal with. She claims I'm fullfilling spiritual prophecy and tries throwing the NWT at me. And have made it clear to her prior to our first discussion upon this matter that it is not a subject (spiritual matters) I am willing to discuss at this point.
Each day is a new day. Hard to handle,
