when i was growing up, i used to think that as long as they made fuzzy loving commercials (i.e.

the faygo one was my favorite & coke second) that the trib & big-a couldn't possibly come!!!

i also used to plan how i would hoard food & water in holes in my backyard that we wouldn't have to eat all the icky mice & insects my mom said we would have to live on.

Yea, I loved that evil music. Just trying to put one over on Jehovah by trying to sneak it in. LOL

Geez, I remember as a kid I use to think that if I made a cassette tape of my favorite songs and kept it in my pocket all the time, I would be able to bring my favorite music into the new system. After all, no one knew the day or the hour.

Should I "ex JW" SHUN my JW family??

i haven't posted in a while... been very busy lately.

i am glad to be back though, i started reading the posts right away, and immediately felt comfort for how you guys are feeling, knowing i feel the same way.

not many of you know my story.... but for a quick run down... i'm a disf'd jw, for about 11 yrs now, i'm 28, disf'd at the tender age of 17... my mother and sister are still in the org... they only talk to me when they want to, it doesn't have to be an important event, life or death or anything.

I haven't regretted "closing the door behind me". In my opinion, being human to JW family members while being treated like dirt by them is too close to the JW theology of a wife subjecting herself to beatings by her husband on the hopes that maybe one day she will win over her husband. I'm not a doormat and won't put up with that twisted reasoning anymore

I must agree, It's a matter of self-respect. Being around the JW thinking just messes with your head.

currently i am unofficially da.

everyone will talk to me if i run into them but they don't try to get in contact with me or see me.

i live in a rural area on one of the main roads so they will see my house.
