How did you "expand" your Field Service time
by donny ini remember when a brother named donis and i used to go out in field service on the weekends we took advantage of our congregations large territory.
we each had about nine return visits and we would pick one on the southern end of the territory and afterwards drive to one in the northern part and then back again.
along the way we would throw in laundry mat to dump a lot of the magazines that were given to us by other brothers/sisters who needed room in their garage.

When the territory is 45-minutes away or when the brothers love to chat for a while at Starbucks before continuing off. I'm a pioneer, I NEED that time-- that's my excuse. ;)

Russel's view of Disfellowshipping
by not_yours ini read this watchtower the other day, november 15, 1984:.
for instance, in 1904 the watch tower societys first president, charles taze russell, wrote: the church is to withdraw from him its fellowship and any and all signs or manifestations of brotherhood.
(the new creation, page 290) .

That sounds like what's in place except any sign of brotherhood has been defined to include even saying hi.

DC Experiences - reality vs. perception
by sir82 inat a recent dc, an elderly sister was interviewed.
she recounted how she endured through many years of her husband's opposition, never giving up, until finally he relented.
eventually, he bacame baptized and joined her in the full-time pioneer work.. end of experience.

Yeah they completely edit them-- I hate it!
I had one two years ago about how I put "Jehovah first" by instead of taking AP and Honors courses, choosing to pioneer and how the pressure to attend college was overridden by the examples of many brothers with "good" jobs who hadn't attended.
The point is they eliminate any questionable thing and make it so superficial. Anyone also notice how everyone has the same voice variation when giving an experience? -

Could we sue the WTS?
by nbernat inis there any extent of the law which we could sue the society for taking our time, brainwashing us and tearing apart our families?
or would that just be pushing it?.
i ask because the attorney who prosecuted jfk's murderer came out with a book outlining a case against bush for murder which is pretty far-fetched yet convincing.

Sorry maybe I'm just really slow but I re-read that and still didn't get it the way you're making it sound (or seen haha).

poll/ survey on what you "were" (rank in your hall)
by burningbridges ini wasjust really curious to see what the average of everyone's "history" is here, and also how many "higer ups" we have that have abandoned the ways.
so what were you, an elder?
a pioneer?

nbernat
Regular pioneer, goody two shoes DC and CA interviewee, soon-to-be MS.
-
nbernat
Yep same with mine. The richest are the elders, all of whom went to college for at least 4-years.

The Williams, and Jacksons (well, they were). And the GB members of course!

That's interesting. It stinks they cover their tracks so well with all of these "improvements" they've made to the Society to be more "loving" (i.e. "So-and-so is NO LONGER A JEHOVAH'S WITNESS")
I heard they changed that from "has been disfellowshipped" BECAUSE of a lawsuit? Is this another myth?? -
