Definitely the get-rich-quick types... every new scheme that comes along.
Avon, Candles, Pampered Chef, Magnets, Telephone/internet service, Noni juice, you name it.
And Pioneers are the worst.
i was thinking back on some of the people i knew growing up, as well as my own family - many of whom are dubs... tell me what your own experiences are of these kind of people, did you notice a large prevalence of these types of people in the congs you attended:.
1. health nuts: into all sorts of alternative health theories like iridology, reflexology, homeopathy etc?
2. get rich quick folk: always getting involved in this scheme or that, this business or that - especially pyramid type things?.
Definitely the get-rich-quick types... every new scheme that comes along.

she made her debut on "keep yourselves in god's love: birthday thread (http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/159047/2.ashx).
here is a copy of her brief introduction and comment.
hello everyone, i have been reading jwd for awhile and enjoying everyone's comments.
Welcome aboard Mrs. Fiorini...
simply put...i believe there is a god..and his name is yhwh aka jehovah..and his son yeshua or yehoshua aka jesus..died for our sins as a propitiatory ransom sacrifice to antone for mankinds sins..i therefore am also a creationist...i do not believe science contradicts the bible...rather i think it agrees and compliments it rather well.. .
i am creating this post in response to comments made in my last post by the poster named "parakeet"... i just thought i should explain myself before he/she starts deducting praise from me (see my last post)..lol...alright here goes.
i grew in a small town in florida called macclenny..population- 20,000.. my mother and her family were raised in this quaint little city...my family on my mothers side has been in this city since the early 1920's...ok...lemme me get to the meat of the story.. .
I think it might have been an "evil" lawn chair...

I was shutting the outside lights off last night, and when I looked out the window, I saw a coyote in my backyard!
Then I realized that it was just a plastic lawn chair.
i opened another thread with a similar title and thought it was going to be a discussion about belief in god but it wasn't.
so i started my own.. although i'm not sure of much at the moment (since i had my beliefs whipped out from under me like the floor under my feet) i feel fairly certain about one thing.
there is evidence of intelligent design and beauty in the universe and i don't logically think this is accidental.

For years I believed that those crazy scientists were right about the solar system, but now I realize that the sun really did stand still for Joshua.
okay, how many of you got to the convention site nice and early so that you could get the best seats on the house?.
having met in yankees stadium (difficult for me as i'm a mets fan) i always made sure i was in the shade.
hey someone had to come in early and make those watchtower hoagies (by the way, i never washed my hands).
I am not a small guy, but (years ago when I used to actually get there early) I have been pushed and shoved, glared at, cut off, and nearly knocked down while trying to get into the DC doors when they open up.
Can you feel the Christian love?
hi everyone, i'm not new here just haven't posted in a while.
for those who remember me i'm graduating from college on wednesday!!!!
i'm very happy but there's still a dark cloud (pardon the dramatic-ness) i am still with my non-jw boyfriend of almost three years and i've let my parents know that we want to get married (next month) and they went and told the elders(they did it kinda behind my back) who now want to meet and talk with me!
Why??? - I hope things continue to work out for you. And Congrats on your Graduation.
Dawg - I feel your pain... just think about the Marines, then think about the CIA. Both are useful.
i've come a long way, baby!
i stood for the national anthem for the first time ever at graduation on sunday.. i saluted the flag for the first time ever at a community event last night.. it was surreal and felt wonderful, like i was doing something so natural and good.. when i put my hand over my heart for the first time, it felt very strange.
i had to think for a minute if i used the proper hand over the right place.
I was at an NFL game a couple of years ago, and I was with a bunch of witness friends - most of them try to stay in the bathroom, or go get beer when they play the NA. I usually do that too, but this time I went to the seat to hear the NA, and see the Fly Over. It was a great feeling. Very emotional. And when the jets screamed by, I just threw my arms up and cheered with every one. Later, when my freinds were all there, the game was between quarters, and they brought out some marines who were on leave from Iraq, but were slated to go back. I cheered for them too. My freinds looked at me fnny, but never really made a big deal out of it. (surprising)
It feels good to be able to vocalize the pride you have in your homeland.
watching the crime channell yesterday i saw a picture of a family that was murdered by teenage gothic satanists, i said to my self "they look like witnesses"...and they were!
one of the girls charged with murder said: "the man aproached me at the rest stop and asked me if i believed in god, he said he was a jehovah witness...." the four youth's are serving life in prison for shooting this man his wife and 2 kids.
the baby boy was shot in the eye but survived....they ran over the parents as they drove off in their van.
I remember there was a big stir over this when it happened.
It's a terrible, terrible thing. Those poor people.
i was always uncomfortable singing at the meetings when i was a kid.
as an adult, i rarely if ever sing anymore because i think it is a joke.
sit down, listen for 45 minutes.
What a load of puke!
I usually find this stuff amusing, but that's too sickening to be funny.
