  as a jw we were always told worldly people were bad always out for what they could get out of you.

  as for me iv'e made some good friends not anything as bad as the jw's said they woul'd be.

  No.

  Some are nice, some are not... just like JW's.

  The good thing about "worldly" (I have always hated that term) people is that they will usually still talk to you if you disagree with their beliefs.

  i read somewhere that the gov.

  body and wt have created some sort of seperation in an effort to make it more difficult to place blame and responsibility with all the child abuse cases.

  There is specific information in the latest KM about where to send donations, and to make checks payable to WT when sending money for literature, but to the "Christian Congregation of JWs" when donating at assemblies and conventions.

  is there just one shred of evidence that proves beyond any doubt that there is a being that is responsible for the existence of the universe and that it continues to have some effect on its inhabitants?

  i was bored last night during the meeting, so i decided to read the question box in the km.. it was about when you should and should not applaud at the meetings.

  apparently someone wrote in to see if it was appropriate to applaud after each tms or sm part.

  geez these people need to get a grip.. anyway, the gb has been so gracious as to outline when it is ok to clap, and when we should just sit like mindless drones while the spreaker(s) leaves the stage.

  True... They micro-manage under the guise of answering questions from readers.

  I am sure there are some "Ned Flanders" types out there that do write in with asinine questions, but for they most part they are just inventing questions to go along with the answers they have prepared.
