  Appendix on DF in New Book released at Convention 2008

  some scans have been made regarding blood and birthdays in the new book that was released at this year s conventions.

  as could be seen from the index of the book, there is an appendix on the topic of disfellowshipping.

  this as a topic that definitely concerns quite a few of this board.

  Should the Name Jehovah Appear in the New Testament?

  this is the title of an article from the august 1st issue of the watchtower (public edition).. it can be downloaded from http://www.jw.org/index.xjp?option=qryqzrqvnznt but is not yet available in print.. the absence of the divine name in nt manuscripts is vaguely described so as not to confuse the average jw reader.

  the opening paragraph even gives the uninformed reader the impression that some of those nasty non-jw translators deliberately chose to omit the divine name.

  bible scholars acknowledge that god's personal name appears in the old testament or hebrew scriptures.

  i saw this on youtube and don't understand how he can make the statement, "i don't follow the watch tower" but i am a jw.

  if you are a jw, don't you follow what the watch tower says?

  for some strange reason i can not get to sleep this past week or so.....i am talking watch news, watch letterman, conan, the englishter..oh and usually on jwd a bunch too...and still up til 2:00 or 2:30 est...... so when do you usually turn in?..........oompa.

  Suggestions for JW Girlfriend?

  so i've been seeing this jw girl for a couple weeks now... she kind of contacted me out of the blue (i've known her since i was 4, shes two years older than i) and wanted to hook up for coffee or something.

  i avoided it for about half a month.

  not really avoided it, but was going to have fun with it when it came, because i thought she was just going to try to encourage me to go to meetings and whatnot.. so, first time she calls me up at like 9:30pm on a weeknight to come over to her house... so i ride my bicycle over and go inside and she and her cousin were getting drunk on alcohol and they started getting me to drink.

  It does not surprise me anymore that alot of JWs(more than we think) are leading double life, it does not make any sense to try to serve Jehovah. Jehovah expects 100 percent devotion, not 50 percent devotion. I hate to say it, she is hypocrite at best. If she does not make her mind up between Jehovah and the world, I would steer away from her.

  Anonymous email experience

  well, i received anonymous email on the day of the london bombing, she(still a jw, but i think she wants to get out of jw) was telling me that she wish that she was with me, but i did not know who the anonymous person was til i found out recently.

  i will not reveal the contents of the email.

  she is pretty good looking gal.
