  has anyone else noticed that people were completely screwed up today.

  i had people at work freaking out, that normally are normal, others picking stupid battles just for the sake of fighting.. i hit my favourite pub tonight to forget about the day and ended up 'bouncing' three different beligerents.

  all three at least 6 inches shorter 50-70 lbs lighter yet they insisted on attempting to throw punches and generally cause a scene.

  (background - I am about 6'5" 260 lbs and used to teach arrest/restraint procedures and handcuff training

  Well...whip me, beat me, make me write bad checks.

  I work alone, thank god, but I did notice a lot of potentially harmful creatures out yesterday - a snake in my work area that had to be moved out of the way; the biggest black widow spider I've ever seen; got covered up with so many ants that I had to shuck my pants; when the yellow-jackets started dive-bombing me, I knew it was time to call it a day.

  JW'S: WHAT A LOVING BUNCH!

  i just found out that one of my moms friends is in the process of being taken to the cleaners by her scumbag son-in-law and her own daughter---both who are witnesses.

  she's been widowed for several years now and, like many witnesses, her husband had no life insurance (why bother----the new system was going to be here long before either of them got sick or died right?

  ) and she had never worked outside the home.. anyway, she managed to save enough money through working part time (she gets part of her husband's pension but it's only about $800.00 a month) and she put a small downpayment on a place to live.

  Poor dear. How distressing for her. I don't think any here are surprised at that behavior.

  Legally speaking, on the surface, it doesn't seem she would have much of a case. He got the loan and bought the house; he and the bank own it.

  Even if she signed an owner-finance agreement with him, she still probably couldn't transfer ownership to another person, as she wouldn't "own" it until she made the last payment.

  Wish we knew all the juicy details of the loan and how much equity there really was. With the slow housing market, she might be lucky just to break even, anyway. She will probably have to accept the fact that she was just a renter, and as such, has the option of renting from someone else. Let him worry about making those bank payments.

  having experienced the shunning of nearly all my old friends, i realize that although wt can not stop you from expressing your own thoughts (free will), they certainly do have enough control mechanisms in place to make you less likely to do so.

  i was an open apostate for awhile, not on purpose, was just expressing myself to anyone who would listen about how we had been duped.....lied to about certain things.

  i chose to shut up and shut down for the most part since i knew a full df would be even harder on my wife and our marriage.

  "I don't believe the Holy Spirit appoints brothers to positions",well neither did I ever,only as far as the Elders would compare his qualifications with those in Scripture,but apparently some believe that the HS does direct matters.

  I went for a round with the CO on this one. At the time I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I asked him, when I know that the man doesn't meet some of those qualifications, how do you reconcile his appointment with that long list of scriptural qualifications? His answer to me - "you don't have anything to say about it".

  Now I know that there must be a lot of witnesses that know better, because there was a talk on it after that at an assembly.

  Blood transfusion.................and I felt sick.

  although my opinion of the use of blood has dramatically changed.

  i was surprised with my reaction when i recently visited someone in hospital and the blaz a way the nurse said that the patient had been given 2 units of blood to "build him up".

  when i looked at the hooked up line of red blood, i felt physically sick, not because of the sight of blood as some people are, but that he was was been intravenously "fed" blood.

  Summer wine, I felt that same sickness right before my mother's scheduled surgery, when they decided to give her some blood beforehand; partly because of what we were taught, but mostly because I was afraid of what might be in that blood. I was surprised at how easily she went along with it, never even questioning such a serious matter.

  Thanks for this thread, Coco. I've been wanting to post this little story:

  A lady from down the street (a stranger to me) stopped by hoping I would share a plant she had seen in my yard. We took a tour of my garden and she left with a banana plant.

  Two days later I received the most wonderful thank-you card in the mail. Her husband had died 6 months earlier, she had no children, and had been near death with kidney disease; she had been so depressed she didn't care if she lived.

  But now she was all inspired to go to work in her own garden. She had called her sister and told her she was over her depression; that no one could visit me and my garden and be depressed!

  I can't tell you how good that made me feel, that I had made a difference in someone's life. Wow, I didn't even do anything, just showed her my ol' messy garden. I think she did more for me than I did for her.

  Reply to Spoiler Alert!

  Did anyone see last night's episode, and then the preview for next week's episode?

  Was the preview insinuating that Miguel was selling Dexter out with the cops, towards the end of the preview???

  It certainly seems that way, doesn't it? I didn't like the turn the show took with Miguel knowing about Dexter.

  not that i subscribe to that sort of thing - but this one was very wierd.. i was in a glass house - or at least there was mostly glass all around.

  there was a vehicle pulled up close to one of the doors, and a woman was yelling that she needed to come inside because the buffalo were chasing her.

  i looked down the hill and saw two thin buffalo, and when they saw me they charged up to the entrance of the house, preventing me from opening the door to the woman.

  Jeff, it seems that you have been able to make sense of your dream with the help of this thread. I wish you success in dealing with the tough family issues. As someone said, the symbols in dreams mean different things to different people.

  So, just for the fun of it, had it been my dream, here's what I would have made of it:

  Buffalo and Indians signify America.The glass house is a greenhouse; you prepared for the hard times.

  The buffalo are thin because there's nothing to eat. Tunga anagrams into the word gaunt.

  They weren't chasing the woman, they were trying to beat her to your food.

  Strong spirit - you had a stronger will to survive than they did.

  jw's like to refer to their body of beliefs as "the truth", even when those beliefs are adjusted or even reversed, giving rise to the question 'if this is "the truth", then what were the beliefs which were promoted as "the truth" until the change'?.

  state something you have actually found to be "true", in the sense that, in your experience, it agrees with what is observed in the real world.. .
