Well, they would not buy into the old doctrines, that is the reason the WT is making changes to their doctrines. The way they know how to twist scriptures to make them fit whatever it is they are saying at the time. Just find the right carrot to lure them in and Paradise Earth, is a good one. No sadness, no sickness, never a tear fall from your eye. People are longing for peace, a perfect government, happiness. If the WT can twist the scriptures to show people this is God's plan, I think people will still buy it.

Do you think if the WTS were to start up today would it flourish to the extent of what it has become worldwide ?
by Homerovah the Almighty inhere's a hypothetical question that worth some thought and contemplation.. if a small group of men or maybe even one man were to start the wts just the way russell did some 100 years ago.
would it grow and flourish just like the real one has done ?.
if the wts were to use all of their doctrines that they have acquired or established such as.

I really thought the book "Captives of a Concept" made it very clear and easy to read, how the WT is NOT the true religion. I also read COC and Steve Hassan's book on mind control. All 3 books are excellent reads for a jw.
If I had to do it again, I would read all 3 books in this order, 1st, Captive's of a Concept, 2nd, CoC, 3rd, Stever Hassans book Combatting Cult Mind Control.

I think it might. I look at Obama, he has chrisma, crowds love and followed him, even referred to as the messiah, what is his carrot to lure the great crowds in... "Change".
People are so hungry for change, they will buy it from a chrismatic leader. To me, Obama is just another politician, no different.

Nice art work, if this is paradise earth, again, where do these people live? I never see any houses.
Also I noticed they had to pick their own apples and no tractors for planting their garden. I guess they have nothing else to do, no jobs to go to, so maybe they don't mind.
The guitar the guy is playing does not look hand made, looks like it was made in a factory, do they have factories there? Do you think he is playing songs from the jw song book?
I can see young children buying into this happy fantasy land, will help keep them going for the carrot. They will feel like they are at the zoo every day, only the animals will play with them.
No matter how pretty they paint the picture, to be there with nothing but JW's, I would still pass.

Hi Flipper, I think it was a very good thing to do, especially the part about going to the police and it being a fleony not to report it. If nothing else, they need to know that much for their own protection againt those perverts.
I hope they do a research, if they go to their parents about it, maybe the parents will start to research it on the internet. If not the parents, maybe one of the girls will research it and spread the word.
I'm glad you had an oppourtunity to get the message out to them. Good Job

I can see Adam Lambert winning. I wish Alexis could have stayed longer. I think Allysion will go to the final 4.
I also loved how Adam changed up " The Ring of Fire. I could not believe all the different ranges he reached. He is a true entertainer.
I thought Carrie Underwood did a beautiful job singing with Randy Travis.
Purps, Carrie had on a very pretty red dress, spiked heels, and a black head piece with a black flower. She looked stunning.
Michael Sarver lives close to my neck of the woods, about 48 to 50 miles away.
