My Father-in-Law (active JW) confided to me: "If you miss a few meetings you'll just hear it all over again in a few months." He's right! They rehash the same old song and dance over and over. Why we should listen to the FDS. Why we should attend all the meetings. Why we need to stay active in our ministry. Why we need to trust Jehovah (WT) to give us meat in due season. Why we should prepare for Armageddon.

Rinse and repeat.

sorry to report..............nothing has changed!.

i walked in and as usual elders are talking with fellow elders.

The person who is giving the talk writes it. He only researches from Watchtower publications.

Are there things they DON'T tell you until AFTER you're baptized?

just wondering....... are there certain teachings / beliefs they don't tell a person who is studying....until after they're baptized?.

First of all, you don't get baptised until they know you can be mind-controlled. This is the reason for the 80 questions meeting with the Elders after you studied the Knowledge Book. It's actually a test to see if you can be indoctrinated. Once you are baptised, you are well underway to believe just about anything the Governing Body says. Some of the hardcore doctrines aren't made clear until you have researched for yourself. I don't recall ever being told the Jesus was Michael the Archangel, but it's there. One thing leads to another ...

Jesus not crucified on torture stake. Impossible!

unwittingly the germans, during wwii, they experimented with many, many ways for killing people, efficiently and quickly.

their records show that when a person is suspended with their hands over their head, as they would be on the jw "torture stake," they can survive for approximately one hour.

if their feet are tied down, as well, the time is reduced to about 15 minutes.. .

The idea of carrying a 11 foot pole is ridiculous! The cross-beam itself would be more realistic.

Reniaa never addressed the fact that Jesus couldn't survive for more than 15 minutes with his arms above his head. Totally ignored the evidence.
