Since many famous atheist philosophers admit a lack of unifying moral source inherent in the belief of "no God", how would rights be established in such
a world? You could also turn the table around and say that certain religious beliefs endeavored and embellished immorality against humanity and still
does to this day. This was briefly touched on by Dawkins in the video. Short answer would be secular humanism and the rights of THE individual..

Ironic that you find Dawkins creepy when most people here find you somewhat disheveled with a level of creepiness, but nevertheless.
Interesting to note also is that after and during the debate the question was posed to the audience, at the end of debate the results
were shown up on the big screen behind the debaters, the results were in favor of the motion that humanity would be better off
without religion, more so after the debate .... ummmmm ??? that says something doesn't it Perry ?

i was just going through some old files to delete and i ran across this one from our own beloved james_woods: .
there is another negative character aspect about freddy that ed dunlap once related to me.
freddy was practically crazed with the desire to be president of the wt society.
Listening to that speech by Franz reminded me of some of the mental midgets who gave talks from time to time,
all full of double emphasizing words to create some sort of staid importance or relevance. In actuality the information
was elementary like when one talks to a group of children.
One thing that I always noticed about stupid JWS is that they had a preponderance of glib arrogance, formulated upon
ignorance and strife with pretentiousness.
i've talked with a number of jws who have commented that they feel like failures -- that they're never good enough.. if that resonates with someone reading this post, please realize that you are by no means the only one who feels like that.. in fact, the whole wt system depends on keeping jws feeling that way.
the gb wants you to feel that way.. think about it.
you are always reading or hearing about someone who puts in an extraordinary number of hours in field service or someone who goes out more than you do despite having twice as many challenges and responsibilities.

i had tears in my eyes at work today.
there was an arbor day celebration and some teenagers had some speeches and they planted a tree...most people would not be as touched by the events today as i was but one of the women recieving an award said that she was proud of these children because they were doingsomething good for the communtiy...and i was proud of them too, but i was sad for jw's who would think these children are "bad" just because they are not witnesses...or the jw who would not let their children associate with these teenagers or even be part of a "wordly" club..that's what made me sad, all those years i missed looking at the little beautiful things in life in a positive light and not the negative debbie downer way jw's look at things..
Part of the controlling aspect of religious cults like this is to demean anything that is not being controlled by the
hierarchal leaders. The fear factor is a controlling mechanism to which religious organizations control and maintain their following,
without this aspect of control, many organizations like the Jehovah Witnesses would fall apart.
Religious cults similar to the JWS also dissuade their children from associating with non-members on a
platform that they are evil and dangerous to their said spirituality.

Unlike other Christian based religions the WTS. imposes guilt onto its members mostly relating to not spending enough time distributing their
published literature. Or not looking and acting completely to the pretentious image of the WTS. organization to which it enforces
among its sales representatives.
Guilt and fear goes a long way in religions to persuade people to do what you want them to do.
