i think political correctness started the trend of dumbing down.

lowering the bar.

warping the standards.. in every society there are citizens with varying abilities and disabilities.. the natural sorting process is achievement, self-sustaining ability and productivity.. winners vs slackers.

I see this in Hip-Hop. Cotton-candy rap booty shaking, tip the stripper loads of money, sell more drugs, kill members of your own community, type of music is held in high esteem, but it's psychologically devastating to the youth who do not have the educational defenses to deal with such a manipulative, loaded encoded message. It's all part of the branding, packaging, and marketing to the mindless consumers to increase the bottom line, at least in the rap music industry. A false sense of Self-Esteem is a magick trick played on us by the modern wizards and shamans of our day. It begins with your parents who were victims of the dictatorial schooling system which trains all to never question the powers that be, so maintain the status quo. Then the young are placed in the same education hating institutions! It's made worse through oppressive government, and religions like the Watchtower.

Misleading advice at the Hall.

words of wisdom at the kingdom hall went something like " don't marry for looks because looks fade.

" what i want to know is if the person you married turns out to be a crabby old miserable so and so how do you cope with ugly personality plus ugly looks.i mean if you marry a looker at least you have enjoyed some vision of delight, if you get stuck with both you are in a double bind.

"Go for someone spiritual"!! What they really meant was, date someone who is a mindless follower of others. My ex put on a show, she would aux-pioneer, but I knew her heart wasn't in it. She did it to impress others, not cause she sincerely wanted to. She was a victim of too much oppression and control. Oppression and control from the two sources she put the most trust in; her parents, and her 'faith'. When I began 'courting' her, she was a dysfunctional broken assemblage, not that I was any better, for we both had yet to develop our own independence.

my wife excitedly told me that she talked to the wife of an elder that just came back from.

the special training for elders in upper state new york and that the elders are being told .

to go back to their congregations and to get them ready for the great tribulation.. i said to her that is great news !!!!

Martin Luther Sounds like He's talking about the WTBTS in the 1500's!

usually i'm just a lurker.

i'm a chrirstian concerned for a jw teen, and wanting to understand what he's going through, and where he's coming from i don't usually post, but this morning i came upon this while reading from the sermons of martin luther , volume 1. he's speaking about luke 21:28.. "the godless fanatical preachers are to be censured who in their sermons deprive people of these words of christ and faith in them, who desire to make people devout by terrifying them and who teach them to prepare for the last day by relying upon their good works as satisfaction for their sins.

here despair, fear and terror must remain and grow and with it hatred, aversion and abhorrence for the coming of the lord, and enmity against god be established in the heart; for they picture christ as nothing but a stern judge whose heart must be appeased by works, and they never present him as the redeemer, as he calls and offers himself, of whom we are to expect that out of pure grace he will redeem us from sin and evil.. such is always the result where the gospel is not rightly proclaimed.
