  the previous viewpoint taken: yogais it for you?

  awake 1983 feb 22 pp.13-15 some may think they can separate presumably harmless features of yoga from those they consider harmful.

  according to the following statement, made in a dictionary of hinduism, this does not seem possible: no system of yoga exists in isolation, each being often combined with elements of another.

  I'm not good association......

  i've been away from jwd for a month or so.

  i've just been busy in life and am trying to rebuild, or should i say, make new friendships but it is slow-going.

  missinglink and i haven't been to any meetings since april and have no plans in going back.

  getting over it - how long does that take?

  in december i started reading things and thinking with an open mind (for the first time in my life).

  i'm still discovering things daily that irritate me about the wts.

  i've been to about half a dozen meetings since march.

  Satan overkill

  i remember in my teen years thinking about the constant warnings of satan "transforming himself into an angel of light" and wondering how in the world did i stand a chance against a demon?!

  a demon thats had thousands of years to suss things out and trick people in various different ways without them even knowing.

  he led angels to rebellion.

  the recent post about dolls has me picturing other conversations that parents could be having with with their young, impressionable children.. here's my own little scene inspired by the june wt.. (timmy is playing with his toy car).

  dad: what kind of car do you have there, timmy?.

  timmy: it's a super fast red porsche!.

  book recommendations?

  missinglink and i read steven hassan's combatting cult mind control.

  it appears that the moonies and other cults use similar lingo to the jw's like truth and worldly people, etc.

  and shunning, recruiting new ones and many other concepts are comparable.
