  the society loves to claim there was an unprecedented amount of peace prior to 1914 and that wwi was a complete shock to the world when it began.

  Parallels between Catholic and JW sex abuse scandals?

  is anyone well versed in the parallels between the policies in the respective groups that have led directly to this problem, how they have dealt with the problem, how they have/haven't reformed?.

  how has catholic church had the same problems as jw?.

  how has catholic church been worse in their policies than jw?.

  CYP, you should contact SNAP if want to get the true picture. You seem to think the Catholic Church is handling this better. Don't believe the newspaper articles or public statements of the Catholic administration. Talk to SNAP or LINKUP and you will find that behind the scenes the Church operates just like the WTS.

  
  

  
  I don't think the Catholic church kicks out the advocates and starts telling these advocates that they are basically going to die with no hope, they have lost their God and all their families and friends are prescribed to shun them .... but I could be wrong ...

  i have to laugh, just heard from 2 dub friends that proceeded to tell me this is a sign.

  california has had 4 earthquakes in the last 3 days.

  so all of you still on the fence.straighten upcant be long now.

  It really is too bad that certain people refuse to understand the natural processes in plate techtonics. All that is occurring is one plate is moving under another and in this case in a subduction zone. Pressure and stress build as the plates collide and then one or the other or both move relieving the stress and causing the earthquake.

  Earthquakes happen all the time. Quite frankly I would start to worry if earthquakes didn't happen.

  What is so special about that considering the magma (fluid rock) eddie flows in the mantle as the planet spins around at thousands of kilometres per day.

  the fantastic quotes website said that as of 2005.01.31, the wt has not specified which books, specifically, they feel are still copyright protected.. .

  the law is that copyright for an author lasts through his life, and for so many years after his death.

  (blondie will confirm this - with a source i betchya-) ::: in order to prove that certain works published years ago are still within the copyright, they would have to admit and confirm who wrote those works.. .

  Again lets all be careful here.

  The WTS is an non governmental organization (by definition a not for profit corporation). The Watchtower, as an NGO, voluntarily applied and was accredited as an "associated" NGO with the Department of Public Information of the UN. After October 2001, the UN took away the WTS's "associated" NGO status. The WTS remains an NGO but does not have consultative or associated status with the different UN branches.

  Based on my review of other companies (including what seems to be the hundred or so corporations that Norris and Love site in their lawsuits) I have not found any link corporate links between the NGO corporations that belong to the JWs with ECOSOC or DPI at the UN.

  You have enough amo to nail them with what they have done in the 1990s.
