I don't care for them. I'm getting more used to them. I try not to be judgemental about the people who have them. Some like the pictures above gross me out though. Bleh.

10 Years out of the JW Organization- What I've Learned ( For what it's Worth)
by flipper in10 years ago i stopped attending jehovah's witness meetings for good.
walked out of the kingdom hall cold turkey never to return based on injustices i observed among others and myself at the hands of elders giving out not god's counsel but personal opinions as counsel .
some of them weren't even giving out wt society counsel- just personal opinions.

Nervousness While Commenting?
by schlick inwas always shy about public speaking of any kind.
when i commented, my heart would beat as rapid as a moving train.
and oh if it was something i tried to remember then it would be forgotton the second being put on the spot.

In my 30+ years of being a JW I can count on one hand the times I commented. I could never figure out how to put that drivel in my own words. I felt so bad about it. Now I realize that I couldn't do it because it sounded so hokey, I'm so proud of myself now.

I love it too.
Could be altered to Birthday fractions, R movie fractions, etc.

OMBG! Waves of bloody nostalgia are sweeping over me!
by fulltimestudent inmy gay xjw friend sent me a link to a site (must be an unofficial jw site) with so many do and co talks - f*** me dead!
its like hearing the dead talk.
anyway, my friend somehow had found out that one of his (years ago) bible studies was featured on it.

Thinking of taking a break from this forum
by yadda yadda 2 instarting to feel my time is wasted on here lately and its time to move on.. some of the best, meaty stuff only gets a few hundreds views and as soon as the posts dry up a bit the thread is soon forgotten (usually in a few days) under the constantly falling snowflakes of new threads (many trival) continuously being created and popping up as 'active topics'.
the same core jw related subjects then keep reappearing over and over again as new threads without getting a thorough treatment at the time (eg, there must be at least one 'are jw's a cult' thread started each week on here; 'new light' topics get about 20 new threads started with the quality of analysis spread and diluted over all of them.).
anyone else tend to feel the same way at times?.

I just recently discovered the 'view tally'. Shows how much I pay attention. JWN is like my morning newspaper, or afternoon or evening. I like to check in and just read what interests me at the moment. I don't get that there has to be angst about staying or leaving. Just go and come back whenever you want. It's that easy.

There are people who are really into angels. There are Angel Card readings and other Angel related beliefs. A gal gave me an Angel reading once at a cafe. I was curious. I have my antenae up for people who do so called readings but actually can pick up information from you by intuition. She didn't say anything that enlightened me. A couple things she said was information she knew about me from my husband (I felt). But she was nice and didn't try to sell me anything.

I wish you were my neighbor! I enjoyed all of your thoughts. This one struck a cord:
Would a good father kill his children for a small infraction of his ever-changing rules?

I read this article to late to be tactful with my son. However it's been 4 years now since we got out and he is now mentally out but wife and family causes him to play it safe.
