Lois, speaking about drones driving around wasting time and gas...Today 2 JW ladies came to my door and when I answered they said they were looking for Phillipinos in the area. What a joke. My grand daughter was here today and so I didn't say anything other than no. They tried to look happy but to me they just looked ridiculous.

great story. A very brave girl, she trusted herself. Help was at hand when she was ready. Life works like that.

other forums
by Hortensia ini look at three forums pretty much every day, this one, a knitting/crochet forum and a weight-loss forum.
the weight-loss site has loads of useful apps, but the forum consists of posts by people who are mostly pretty young, self-absorbed and ill-informed except on a narrow range of information, mainly weight-lifting, working out, and starving themselves.. the folks on the knitting/crochet forum are extremely polite, politically correct, and obey rules very carefully.
other than that, there are some seriously creative people with amazing artistic talent that expresses itself in fiber arts.

I love to hear whatever you have to say Hortensia. Fluff is good. Drama doesn't interest me much. I do like Downtown Abbey though, light drama is okay. Wests knit designs were pretty artsy fartsy but I found a few things I would wear. I like hand made knit stuff because it so textureful. If I were a knitter I would enjoy picking out yarn and deciding on colors.
I had the occasion to spend time with a knitter a few months back. My sister had an out of town visitor come to town for a few days and I helped her entertain the guest and her boyfriend. The weird thing was that she was always knitting. If we went somewhere she brought her stuff. If we were sitting around she was knitting. When they came over here for dinner, she brought it. It was kind of strange. I would never do that to that extent if I were a knitter. It was fun going into a cool knitting store. That was on her list of things to do in Seattle. I might take it up one day.

does it even matter?
by losingit ini am thinking of sending a simple fb message to all of the jws i know.. "jwfacts.com" with the tag line, "you're in a cult.".
my motivation?
i am disturbed about the fact that these people that pretended to be friends look at me with a negative eye and have no clue as to how they abandoned my girls and i in a desperate time of need over the course of this past year.

What about the opposite? Instead of putting up your dukes so to speak why not be a little catty, or a lot:
I want to take this opportunity to all of you who have shown kindness and consideration towards me and my daughters. There were times in this past year where I was desperate and you came to my aid time and time again. You know who you are...
Add some other stuff too.

"I find that people who didn't learn the sport from a young age have a hard time understanding and appreciating it."
When I was about 35, I would notice my husband and son who was about 15 at the time would be having a great time watching football together. One day I sat down and started asking questions. My husband got a piece of paper and started explaining the game as it went along and I gradually picked up on it. So for me it was just a willingness to understand and good for my husband (ldrnomo) to not brush me off.
Still don't understand everything but I can follow the game.

super. When I saw the movie here on the other side of the country we all gathered in the foyer for a Q&A session. It was very therapeutic for many that were there. The guy who was the pro boxer was present also.
I donated some extra cash for their cool poster "Truth be Told". A nice reminder and mantra.

Held my first "worldly" party last night
by Gypsy Sam ini used to have a lot of jw gatherings at my home and it's been the one thing i did miss since our fade.
although i had some nonjw contacts in my life, i always held them at arms length and never really invited them to my place.
well, i've opened up to this group over the last year about the issues with pedofiles within jw world, and the internal/external shunning policy.

So nice to be real and think for ourselves. Sounds like a great party. What a lovely table you set too (I got to see the pictures).
