yes, cool experience. I noticed she was from my home state. I messaged her. Turns out we went to the same high school and had a class together. She signed my yearbook! Now we are FB friends. I visited her last summer when I went home for a visit. Her name here is Emma.

Has anyone accidentally stumbled across someone they knew on here?
by SecretHeart11 ini keep hoping and doing searches on the site for people in my area.
so far no one i recognize.
i have a few df'd friends that i lost touch with long before they were out (two who were elders actually when they got the boot) and would love to find out they were on here, but don't know if they plan on coming back.

It can be overwhelming to care for our elderly parents. I feel for you. I hope you all get through this somehow.

Minimus: Saint Anthony was the saint of lost things. I think Chris had more to do with travel.

I'm not trying to brag, but being an EXJW is awesome!!! Status Update-
by Coffee House Girl inhello jwn!
i don't get to check in here or comment as often as i would like because i have been working so hard at school...but i just have to share my news in hopes that newbees can see that taking the leap to enroll in higher education is worth it-.
i am graduating this spring with a bachelor degree in art history, minor anthropology...many people (including nonjw's have given me flack for choosing a "dead end" career path) but since leaving the watchtower organization's group-think mentality and "leaning on my own understanding" instead... i decided to say fuck everyone else's opinion...i am going to pursue my passion to work in a museum as a curator or archivist-.

You're not bragging. You're showing us that "you are not letting your history define you at the expense of your destiny". Something that each one of us can do. Thank you so much for cheering us on.

What is / was the first thing(s) you looked forward to doing once you were out for good?
by SecretHeart11 inone of the things that keeps me going is thinking about the things my family and i will be able to do once we are all out, together, and free at last.
(and we will be out together, i'm staying positive!).
i soooo look forward to christmas.

Waking up in the morning without feeling a nagging sense of guilt. If I had a plan to do something ordinary thing like yard work, shopping, taking care of my elderly non JW Mother, etc. etc. I would feel guilty. It felt and still feels so good to wake up in the morning.

I think the "I love you's" comes off kind of phoney. I would skip that in the future and also agree about keeping Rick Ferron out of it. JWfacts is a much better choice.

When our congregation was formed I came up with the name to reflect our locale. My husband suggested it at the decision making meeting and it was chosen. No one knew though. lol
