How are you faders doing?

just wondering how all you slow faders are doing.i know this subject is discussed many times,but personally i wish it was more.we should post every once in a while just to say how we are doing,we need to encourage each other.as for me,it is still going very slow.right now i'm looking into the history that is being covered up.i have learned so much just by reading the older threads.it is very painful for me because this was the truth.and to be finding out so much crap that 99% of jw don't even know,it just is unbelievable.i have cut my field service down,and miss more meetings then i ever did.i'm hoping the sister that is in my face all the time,trying to help me,will forget about me soon......so how are you doing?.

In January, I just stopped! Call for Field service, don't dodge it, just say Zero hours, Really what can they do? I had an Elder call and I said t was not an appropriate time to talk. My wife is still very active. I just decided to live by the rules I was making not the ones the cult was.

The best advice I have is enjoy the fact you have been freed and adjust your viewpoint. I loved saying "zero hours". Asked why I was not at a meeting, said I was busy. It p*ssed off some elders but there was nothing they could do. I loved screwing with them. They knew it and stopped bothering me.

I tried the slow fade years ago and it was painful and long and never ended.

I highly recommend growing a set and just quitting. (and yes my WHOLE family is in)

I will try to match the eloquence of miseryloveselders with this post;

I am putting my "elder bag" in the woods near my house. Three to four times a week I will go to the bag and have a bowel movement in it. I will make sure it is full of s**t. Once full, occasionally, I will take some s**t out of it and put different s**t in this bag. If I ever got back to the KH, I will bring this huge leather bag of s**t. Only those not oblivious to the cult they are in will smell the s**t. Those blinded will be impressed by my huge bag of s**t. I on the other hand, may get sick to my stomach carrying around the bag and it's contents.

I will offer the s**t to my neighbors and they will look at me like I am crazy, perhaps chasing me off their property. I will never actually look at most of the s**t in the bag, yet I will probably have more s**t in it than I should. It will be heavy. My son will one day aspire to have his own"elders bag" full of s**t.

I will have a rainbow of highlighters in my bag.

Yes, I am awesome. Thanks to my "elders bag" full of s**t!

This is way too perfect timing!

I was cleaning out my closet last weekend and came across my "elder bag".

I laughed to myself and still could not believe I had one. I was such an ass kisser!

Anybody have any suggestions as to what I should do with it?

Do you ever actually tell your family you're not coming back? What do I do?

i've been "inactive"for four years now.

i am quite proud of myself for making it this far since i moved out on my own at 22 for the first time.

i've remained in school, try to live a balanced and productive life and still drive home to visit my parents at least once a month (they live 45 minutes outside of the city) luckily, my parents and i still remain close (as much as a baptized inactive child and still fanatic jw parents are able to be) and besides my mom's constant pestering about me attending meetings again and coming back to the troof, i haven't had to much stress from them or the elders.

I told mine I was not coming back (something to do with liquid courage).

Big mistake. It just creates more contention.

Also, if you tell them you are not coming back they will not believe you. You will hear how Jehovah can read hearts, the prodigal son, yada,yada,yada.

Just let them think what they want.

Being inactive in their minds is better than being Da'd or Df'd.

I am sure there is no difference in your mind.

Deleting JWs on Facebook

yesterday i started deleting old jw friends from my facebook account... im fading and i didnt want them to sneak around.. what about you?

I know multiple elders wives with several apostates as their friends.

I can't figure out how they justify it if the person was baptized and openly celebrates holidays (as indicated by their posts).

The society has softly recomended against having these accounts but I can really see them cracking the whip soon on this.

The question of ownership is very similar to the congregation checking account. It is locally controlled by a legal entity (not WBTS)!

I have seen firsthand where local brothers have tried to control the property/related funds. (they can do it short term, but get a couple hundred thousand dollars kicking around...) It never works. The mother ship will strong arm the brothers and thelocal bro's ALWAYS buckle very quickly.

Write letters to citizens of Warwick New York exposing the Watchtower org.

a recent newspaper article in the warwick new york newspaper uncovers the plans for the watchtower society to move out of brooklyn new york and set up their world headquarters in warwick.

http://www.strausnews.com/articles/2009/11/25/warwick_advertiser/news/2.txt the citizens of warwick and the surrounding communities should be exposed to what the watchtower society really is, a dangerous and destructive cult!

note in the newspapers link comments made at the end of the article from concerned readers warning the community to really think twice before permitting the watchtower org.

And the WBT$ has far deeper pockets than the municpality.

It would better serve the community to allow it than to fight it!

Money makes the world go round! If the WBT$ wants it I would bet an awful lot of money they can get it.

Absolutely correct! It is by design that multiple KH's are being sold to build one "new" one. It makes no (financial) sense to only have one congo meet in a KH. (Yup, the society got the money)

A few years ago this happened in a congo I was in. P*ssed me off. There was no mortgage, no need to do this other than an excuse fo a "new" building. Nothing better than a freakin' meeting @12:30 on a Sunday afternoon!

Smell like corporate downsizing!
